Survive the Backrooms drops you into an endless maze of yellow hallways where the goal is simple to state and hard to pull off: last 99 days against whatever is hunting you. Codes hand out free Emeralds, the currency used to unlock classes and gear that make those days a little less deadly.

Expired Survive the Backrooms codes

Nothing has expired yet. Every code released so far for Survive the Backrooms still works, so the expired list stays empty for now.

What Emeralds unlock

Emeralds are the currency behind every class in the game, and classes are what separate a short run from a long one. Some of the priciest options include Calamity at 1,000 Emeralds, Flamethrower at 750, and Minigunner at 700. Stacking free code rewards on top of what you earn in-game shortens the grind toward those higher-tier picks.

Where new codes get announced

New codes typically arrive alongside updates, milestones, or community events rather than on a fixed schedule. The Survive the Backrooms Discord server posts them in a dedicated codes channel, so it’s a reliable place to watch if you’d rather track releases yourself.

No official date is confirmed for the next code drop, so there’s nothing to count down to yet. Checking back periodically remains the most reliable way to catch fresh Emeralds before a run into the Backrooms.
