Find the western Takashiro landmark and photograph an ’80s Ford to clear the daily challenge for 5,000 credits.

The Temple of Nachi Falls sits high in the mountains of the Takashiro region in Forza Horizon 6, and you need to reach it to clear the Temple of Zoom daily photo challenge. The task asks you to snap a picture of a 1980s Ford at the temple, and getting the car fully inside the landmark boundary is the only part that trips most players up.

Quick answer: Drive any 1980s Ford up the winding road on the far west side of Takashiro to the circular turnaround just above the waterfall, open Photo Mode, and take a shot that captures both your car and the red temple to complete Temple of Zoom for 5,000 credits.

Temple of Nachi Falls location in Takashiro

The temple is perched on the far western edge of the Takashiro region, tucked into the treeline high above a 133-meter waterfall. It is a bright red Buddhist temple complex, so it stands out clearly once you are close. The structure sits in the center of a small circular road, near the point where the road runs out toward the edge of the map.

Open the world map and look toward the western side of Takashiro for a small road that curls into a circular endpoint, just south of the large waterfall. Drive up that winding route all the way to the top, and you will arrive at the temple. The landmark is modeled on Seiganto-ji, a real temple near the Nachi waterfall in Japan’s Wakayama Prefecture.

Tip: The Temple of Nachi Falls is close to the Mitsubishi Evo III Treasure Car spot, which sits on the dirt road in front of the waterfall basin. If you already grabbed that car, you can fast travel near the temple or straight to it.

Cars that work for the Temple of Zoom challenge

Temple of Zoom only accepts a Ford built in the 1980s. Any eligible model from that decade will register, so pick whichever one you own.

Eligible 1980s Ford
Ford Sierra RS Cosworth
Ford Escort RS Turbo
Ford RS200

How to complete Temple of Zoom

Get into an eligible 1980s Ford. The challenge will not detect a car from any other brand or decade, so confirm the model before you drive out.
Drive up the winding western road in Takashiro until you reach the circular turnaround at the temple. Pull your car fully inside the temple area rather than stopping on the approach.
Open Photo Mode with P on the keyboard or Up on the D-pad, frame a shot that includes both your car and the temple, and take the picture. The game confirms the daily challenge as complete once it detects both elements, and you receive 5,000 credits.
Frame a shot that includes both your car and the temple, and take the picture.

Why the photo challenge fails to register

Location-based photo challenges in Forza Horizon 6 check whether your car sits inside the point-of-interest boundary, not just whether the landmark appears on screen. If the temple is visible but your car is parked slightly outside the zone, the photo will not count. Drive right up into the sanctuary area so both the required Ford and the Temple of Nachi Falls are detected, and the completion will lock in.

Temple of Zoom belongs to the Horizon Decades run of Series 2 Week 1 daily challenges and was available between June 20 and June 25. The temple itself remains one of the game’s 26 official photography spots, so the location stays useful for the Horizon Collection journal even after the daily rotates out.
