Thanos Simulator: Infinity Gauntlet on Roblox runs on two currencies. Shards buy your core stats and pay for rebirths. Essence upgrades your Infinity Stone abilities. Early on, you will feel stuck or fast depending on how you spend them. Quests pay far more than raw kills, Strength should get your Shards before Defense does, and most stones are not worth equal investment.
Quick answer: Clear the four Red Skull quests first, put Shards into Strength and press Apply, rebirth at 500 Strength, 500 Defense and 500,000 Shards, and spend Essence on Power, Time or Soul abilities.
Shards, Essence and Rebirths in Thanos Simulator
Three counters sit on your HUD, and each one feeds a different part of the upgrade menu. The left-side buttons (SETTINGS, INVENTORY, UPGRADES, QUESTS, SHOP) get you to everything below.
- SHARDS come from kills, quests and Arena wins. They pay for Strength, Defense and rebirths.
- ESSENCE pays for stone ability ranks and survives every rebirth.
- REBIRTHS track how many times you have reset for permanent multipliers.

Add to Google Preferences →Red Skull quests: the fastest early Shards
The opening quest chain pays out hundreds of thousands of Shards for work you would do anyway. Ten kills on the main battlefield is worth 60,000 Shards, which would take far longer to earn from enemy drops alone. The quest window splits into Available, Active and Done tabs.
| Quest | Objective | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| RED SKULL’S FIRST ORDER | Defeat 10 enemies on the main battlefield | 60,000 shards |
| CLEAN UP THE WASTELAND | Defeat 20 enemies on the main battlefield | 140,000 shards |
| A GAUNTLET NEEDS BALANCE | Strength and Defense both at 300 | 170,000 shards |
| BREAK YOUR FIRST LIMIT | Complete your first rebirth | 200,000 shards, 5,000 essence |
Together the four quests pay 570,000 Shards and 5,000 Essence. That covers the 500,000-Shard rebirth fee with room to spare, so treat the chain as your route to the first rebirth.

Strength vs. Defense: what to upgrade first
The Core tab of the Upgrades window holds two stats. Strength raises the damage of your punches and abilities. Defense cuts incoming damage and raises your maximum health. Early on, Strength wins. Faster kills mean faster quest progress and more Shards per minute, and the enemies near spawn rarely threaten you enough to justify tanking up.

Defense still matters on a schedule. A GAUNTLET NEEDS BALANCE wants both stats at 300, and the first rebirth wants both at 500. Lead with Strength, then top up Defense to hit those thresholds.
Each panel has Buy 1, Buy 10 and Buy Max buttons, plus Upgrade, Apply and Restore. Below them, the CHOOSE STRENGTH and CHOOSE DEFENSE sliders control how much of your purchased stat is active. Speed is set automatically.
Buying stats does nothing until you press Apply on the slider. If your damage has not changed after a purchase, the new values are still waiting to be applied.

You can confirm the upgrade in combat. After applying, both punches and abilities hit visibly harder against the same enemies.
Rebirth requirements and what resets
The Rebirth tab shows the jump from REBIRTH 0 to 1. You need 500 Strength, 500 Defense and 500,000 Shards, and the button stays locked behind COMPLETE REQUIREMENTS TO REBIRTH until all three are met.
| Category | First rebirth effect |
|---|---|
| Strength multiplier | +1.00 → +1.20 |
| Defense multiplier | +1.00 → +1.20 |
| Shard Bonus | +1.00 → +1.20 |
| Strength and Defense | Reset to 0 |
| Shards | Pay 500,000, keep 0% of the rest |
| Essence | Kept |
| Unlocked Stones | Kept |
| Ability upgrades | Kept |
Two things follow from that table. First, any Shards above 500,000 vanish on the first rebirth, so spend the surplus on stats you are about to lose anyway, or simply rebirth as soon as you qualify. Second, Essence and stone ranks carry over permanently, which makes them the safest long-term spend. Completing the rebirth also finishes BREAK YOUR FIRST LIMIT, so claim it right after for 200,000 Shards and 5,000 Essence.
The share of leftover Shards you keep is shown on the rebirth screen itself. Check the YOU RESET line before each rebirth, because later rebirths may not match the first.
Best Infinity Stones to upgrade with Essence
The Stones tab lists all six: POWER, SPACE, REALITY, SOUL, TIME and MIND. Each has its own abilities, bound to Q, E, R and T, and each ability ranks up with Essence. Power, Time and Soul are the strongest picks. Space is the weakest and the easiest to skip.

Power Stone ability costs
| Ability | Rank 2 damage | Cooldown | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| POWER BLAST | +1.00 → +1.25 | 18s → 16.2s | 100,000 essence |
| METEOR STORM | +1.00 → +1.25 | 40s → 36s | 250,000 essence |
| WORLD BREAKER | +1.00 → +1.25 | 25s → 22.5s | 500,000 essence |
Power Blast is the cheapest rank-up and the one on the shortest cooldown, so it is the sensible first purchase. Meteor Storm rains area damage and is the best tool for wiping clustered enemies. World Breaker electrocutes everything around you and costs the most, which makes it a later target once Essence starts stacking up across rebirths.
Why the Space Stone is a weak investment
| Ability | Cooldown | Other rank 2 change | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| SPACE SHIFT | 12s → 10.8s | Damage +1.00 → +1.25 | 40,000 essence |
| GRAVITY WELL | 35s → 31.5s | Duration 6s → 6.7s, pull 48 → 53 studs | 40,000 essence |
Space ranks are cheap, but cheap is not the same as good. Space Shift and Gravity Well both deal poor damage in practice. Gravity Well’s pull can bunch enemies together, yet the stone does little to finish them off. Essence spent here is Essence not spent on Power, Time or Soul.
Farming Shards faster: grouping enemies and Arena fights
Area abilities pay off only when they hit a crowd. Draw aggro from several Asgardian Warriors, keep moving until they bunch up behind you, then turn and drop Meteor Storm or World Breaker on the pack. One cooldown clears a group that would otherwise take a dozen punches each.

Keep these inputs in mind while you farm:
- M1 for a basic punch
- Q, E, R and T for stone abilities
- F to block incoming attacks
- 1 through 6 to switch the equipped stone
Arena fights are a side income worth taking. When an ARENA prompt appears, joining the queue puts you into a PvP elimination, and the last player standing earns 50,000 Shards. The status bar tracks how many players remain, and Leave fight exits if the match goes badly. A Strength-heavy build helps here too.
Put together, the loop is simple. Quest first, kill in groups, buy and apply Strength, rebirth the moment you qualify, and pour your Essence into Power before anything else. Every rebirth makes the next run faster, and the stone ranks you buy along the way never go away.
