The Blood of Dawnwalker: Bandit’s Treasure Map Tantari Woods Location

Tantari Woods hides one of the more forgiving buried caches in The Blood of Dawnwalker. There is no bear standing guard, no puzzle, and no locked door. The only real obstacle is knowing which patch of dirt to hit with a shovel, because the sketch on the map is vague and the swamp around it all looks the same.

Quick answer: Fast travel to the Tantari Bog shrine, cross the wooden bridge to the north-east, and dig the dirt mound beside a tree stump next to a small pool of water. The chest holds 250 Denarius, the Knightly Ring, Leather Bracers, a Beast’s Bane Brew, and a Pickle.

Where the Tantari Woods treasure map is found

The document itself is called Steal Treasure Map: Tantari Woods, and it sits out in the open on a wooden plank next to a corpse in the woods. Picking it up opens the sketch and adds the Bandit’s Treasure Map: Tantari Woods activity to your log, drawing a yellow search circle on the world map.

That circle is deliberately wide. It tells you the treasure is somewhere in the Tantari Bog area, but it does not pin the mound, which is why most players walk past the dig site on their first pass.

Note: The map is optional. The buried chest exists in the world whether or not you have picked up the sketch, so if you happen to be in Tantari Woods already, you can go straight to the mound and dig. Grabbing the map only adds the tracked activity and the quest circle.

Route to the dig site in Tantari Bog

Fast travel to the Tantari Bog shrine. This is the closest anchor point to the treasure and saves you a long walk through the swamp, since there are no mounts in Vale Sangora.

From the shrine, head north-east and cross the wooden bridge that spans the swamp water. The bridge is the key landmark here; if you are wading through the bog rather than walking over it, you have drifted off the route.

Once you are across, open the world map and check that your marker sits inside the yellow search circle. From that point the mound is only a short run away, so you are looking for terrain features rather than following a waypoint.

Find the loose dirt mound sitting beside a tree stump, with a small pool of water right next to it. That three-part combination of mound, stump, and pool is the confirmation that you are in the right place.

Interact with the mound and choose Dig out the Treasure. You need a shovel in your inventory to complete the prompt, and digging consumes one time segment from your day.

Tantari Woods treasure chest rewards

Digging reveals a chest with a mix of currency, gear, and consumables. The Knightly Ring is the standout, since it is one of the fixed-location Legendary pieces in the game rather than something pulled from the random vendor and chest pool.

The Leather Bracers are locked to level 17, so most players who reach this cache early will be holding them for later rather than equipping them on the spot. The Knightly Ring, at level 10, becomes usable much sooner.

Confirming the activity is complete

You will know it worked when the Dig out the Treasure prompt resolves, the chest appears out of the ground, and the loot window opens with the ring and bracers listed. The activity then clears from your tracker and the search circle disappears from the world map.

If the prompt refuses to fire, there are only two likely causes. Either you have no shovel on you, or you are interacting with a different patch of disturbed ground, since the swamp has other scenery that reads similarly at a glance. Back out, check the stump and the water pool, and try again.

With the run being this short from the shrine, the whole thing costs you one time segment and a couple of minutes of walking, which makes it one of the cheaper ways to pick up a fixed Legendary while you are working through Tantari Woods.
