Uriashi Village sits in the far western corner of the map, in a mountain region you cannot reach under normal play. Climb the heights west of Rockfalls too early and the game throws up a “you can’t go further” warning before teleporting you back. The only way in is the Song of the Mountain side quest, which takes Coen and the vrakhiri Lacra up a long trail to the village gates and a tense confrontation with its guards.
Quick answer: Finish A Friend Like This, spare the uriash prisoner, meet Lacra at Crown Rock at night, climb the windchime trail, then pick only calming dialogue and do nothing when the guards throw stones.

Unlock Song of the Mountain first
Song of the Mountain will not appear until you complete the prerequisite side quest A Friend Like This, which introduces Lacra. That quest begins in an alley on the north-east edge of Svartrau City, below the walls, and ends with a vampire boss fight.
Afterward you can speak with a captured uriash. Spare him and promise not to kill the uriash in the village. That conversation adds Song of the Mountain to your journal and points you toward Lacra at Crown Rock in the Rockfalls region. Because Lacra is a vrakhiri, this quest can only progress at night.

Travel to Crown Rock after dark and approach Lacra at the campfire inside the cave. She will suggest feeding on a nearby shepherd before the climb, claiming he is a vile man no one will miss. If you probe her, she admits the story was made up so she could get an easy meal.
The choice has no effect on the rest of the quest. Feed on the shepherd if you are leaning into Coen’s vampire side, or refuse if you want to keep him human.
If you are pursuing Lacra’s romance, agree to hunt and then tell her the experience was an excellent one to avoid offending her.

Climb the mountain to Uriashi Village
Leave the cave and head east and upward. The uriash hung windchimes along the correct route, so hold Focus Mode whenever you lose the trail and follow the chimes. Steep, vertical faces need Planeshift to climb.
When a landslide blocks the path, take the route to the right rather than trying to Planeshift up again. Later the trail dead-ends at a wall of rubble, and a cutscene shows Lacra clearing it with her blood magic before you continue.
Three mandatory fights stand between you and the gates, in this order:
- A regular pack of wolves on the first ledge.
- A larger pack led by a Pack Leader boss.
- A Ravenous Bear boss near the final climb.
Clear the bear, scale the last wall, and the village entrance is just ahead. Save your game here before the standoff begins.

Enter peacefully: pass the Uriashi test
At the gates the matriarch and her warriors surround Coen and start pelting him with rocks while Lacra urges you to retaliate. The stone-throwing is a test, not a real attack, and staying calm is the recommended way through. Choose these options in order:
- All right, fine.
- Lacra, calm down.
- Nobody needs to die.
- Can we stop with the hostilities?
- What do you mean?
- What more proof do you need?
- [do nothing]
- [do nothing]
- It’s clearly a test. Go on.
The two [do nothing] prompts matter most. Do not move and do not strike back while the stones fly. If you are romancing Lacra, also pick the option asking them not to hit her. Pass the test and the matriarch, Bakr-Erga, orders her warriors to stand down and leads you inside.

Other ways the standoff can end
Ocha vouches for Coen
If you completed The Heart Wants What It Wants beforehand and convinced Ocha to return home, she steps in at the gate and tells the guards Coen is her friend, then escorts you both in. This skips the test entirely, but because Ocha is already back in the village you can no longer complete A Mother’s Plea.
Win the duel
You can also accept a one-on-one duel instead of standing still. Pick “I don’t think so,” then “One step further and you’ll regret it,” then “Deal. Let’s duel.” Winning proves yourself and grants entry without fighting the whole settlement.
Fight the uriash
Choosing hostile lines or attacking the guards forces a long battle in which you must kill every uriash in the village. This permanently removes the vendors and locks you out of A Mother’s Plea for that save.
The violent route is irreversible. The only way back to a peaceful outcome is loading an earlier save. It will not lock you out of Lacra’s romance, but it does cost you relationship points.

Confirm you got in and finish the quest
Once inside, the objective changes to Follow the Elder. Stay with the matriarch rather than wandering off, and she leads you to her hut. She reveals that Brencis defeated Isbrand and chained him in a cave directly beneath the village, where he has been held for about two years. That conversation completes Song of the Mountain for 300 XP and rolls straight into the next quest, Hive and Seek.
You know the peaceful outcome held if the village stays populated. The Uriashi vendors remain open, the matriarch becomes a merchant who sells nearly every Witchcraft skill manual in the game, and A Mother’s Plea is still available. There is also a fast travel shrine in the settlement. An empty market means the standoff turned into a fight, and only a reload restores it.
