The Blood of Dawnwalker: How to Restore the Oghasti Crossroad Shrine

Track the stolen Shrine's Heart through the forest, clear the wolves, and bring the fast travel point back online.

Track the stolen Shrine’s Heart through the forest, clear the wolves, and bring the fast travel point back online.

Destroyed Shrines: Oghasti Crossroad is one of the short repair jobs scattered across Vale Sangora in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Somebody has torn the heart out of a roadside shrine in the swamps near Oghasti, and until you put it back, the shrine is dead weight on your map — no fast travel, no perks, no storage. The fix takes a few minutes of tracking and one brief scrap with wolves.

Quick answer: Inspect the desecrated shrine, hold L2/LT for Focus Mode to reveal the yellow footprints, follow the trail into the forest, kill the two wolves in the clearing, loot the stone pile for the Oghasti Crossroad Shrine’s Heart, then return and interact with the shrine to restore it.

Where the Oghasti Crossroad destroyed shrine is

The shrine sits in The Silts, the marshy stretch of the valley built around the settlement of Oghasti. It shows on the map as a grey shrine icon rather than a blue one, which is the game’s way of telling you the site is broken. Walking up to it triggers the quest and adds it to your journal automatically.

Nothing gates the quest behind story progress, and there is no level requirement. You only need to be able to fight two wolves, which is a low bar even early on. If you have unlocked Shapeshift on the Vampirism tree or Mercurial Fervor on the Witchcraft tree, bring it — the tracking section involves a lot of running.

How to complete Destroyed Shrines: Oghasti Crossroad

Walk up to the wrecked shrine and loot the container beside it. You will pick up Torn Trousers and Mouldy Bread, neither of which matters, but clearing the container first stops you from fumbling for the interact prompt later.
Inspect the shrine itself. The objective updates to “Search for clues around the shrine using Focus Mode,” which is the game confirming the heart was carried off rather than smashed on the spot.
Hold L2/LT to switch on Focus Mode and sweep the ground around the base of the shrine. Yellow footprints light up and lead away from the road. Once you spot them, the objective changes to “Follow the tracks.”

Follow the prints along the forest path. Two corpses lie partway down the trail — loot them, since they carry the useful drops from this quest, then keep going deeper into the woods. Shifting into wolf form here cuts the travel time considerably.

The tracks end at a clearing guarded by two wolves. They aggro on sight, so drop out of wolf form and deal with both before you start looting. They hit fast but fold quickly.

Use Focus Mode again in the clearing to highlight the stone pile. Loot it to take the Oghasti Crossroad Shrine’s Heart along with a document titled “Brencis’s Orders – Old Shrines Must Be Destroyed.” The order is signed by Krystof Brencis of Vale Sangora and explains the whole thing: the roadside shrines were being torn down on his instruction.

Retrace the trail back to the shrine and interact with it to slot the heart into place. The objective reads “Restore the shrine,” and the interaction is a single prompt at the shrine base.

Oghasti Crossroad shrine loot and rewards

The payout is modest. The quest itself hands over 10 XP on completion, and the real value is the fast travel node coming back online. Everything you can pick up on the way is below.

Mouldy BreadContainer at the desecrated shrine
Waspike Padded TrousersLooted on the route between the shrine and the clearing

How to confirm the shrine is restored

You get a hard confirmation. The screen shows “QUEST ENDED” alongside the 10 XP award, and the shrine icon flips from grey to blue on your map. From that point it behaves like any other shrine — you can fast travel to and from it, spend skill points, access your storage chest, and wait to pass time.

If the restore prompt does not appear, the usual cause is that you are not actually holding the heart yet. Looting the two corpses on the trail does not give it to you; the heart is specifically in the stone pile in the clearing, and Focus Mode is the reliable way to find it. The other snag is losing the footprint trail — the prints only render while Focus Mode is held, so tap it again every few steps rather than sprinting on a guess.

What restoring a shrine costs you

Note: slotting a Shrine’s Heart back into a destroyed shrine pushes the clock forward by one time unit. With only 30 days and nights to reach Coen’s family, that is a real cost, even if a small one. Fixing shrines in a cluster while you are already in the region is a better use of the budget than detouring back for one at a time.

The valley holds 111 shrines in total, 94 of them intact and 17 destroyed. None are tied to trophies or achievements, so nobody is forcing you to repair Oghasti Crossroad. But The Silts is a wide, slow region to cross on foot, and this one sits close enough to Oghasti and Lunar Manor that having it lit up saves more time later than the single unit it costs now.
