The Blood of Dawnwalker: Ring of the Night Location and Stats

Where the transport ambush south of Sybilla's sits, what the legendary ring gives Coen, and how to confirm the quest closed out.

Where the transport ambush south of Sybilla’s sits, what the legendary ring gives Coen, and how to confirm the quest closed out.

The Ring of the Night is one of the 21 legendary items scattered across Vale Sangora in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and it is the payout for a single short Xanthe Court activity rather than a long questline. It is a vampire-side accessory, built to make Coen’s night form last longer and recharge faster.

Quick answer: Complete the Xanthe Court activity Xanthe’s Transports: Past Glory. Travel to the forest south of Sybilla’s, kill the transport guards, and loot every barrel of transported goods. The Ring of the Night drops into your inventory the moment the activity closes.

Ring of the Night stats

The ring is a Level 33 legendary accessory with a flavour line reading “Darkness will keep you safe.” Every active bonus feeds Coen’s vampiric side, so the item is worth almost nothing to a pure human-form build.

PropertyValue
Rarity / typeLegendary Ring
Level33
Maximum Vampiric Health+33%
Vampiric Health Segment Regeneration+1% per second
Vampiric Ability Cooldown-11%
Blood Drinking Restoration+44%
Weight0.10
Value520

The ring also carries three inactive slots that sit at +0%, covering Weapon Critical Hit Damage, Activation Charge Restoration from Block, and Stamina Gain from Perfect Block. Treat them as blanks, not as bonuses.

Note: if you fight mostly as human Coen and rely on Swordmastery, the Ring of Focus from the chest in Parlita’s southeastern corner or the Ring of Quick Strikes from The Highland Grave will do more work in the same slot.

Where to find the transport south of Sybilla’s

Past Glory is one of Boyaress Xanthe’s transport activities, so it appears in your journal under the Xanthe Court grouping. Track it and the first objective, Intercept the transport, marks a spot in the woods below Sybilla’s location on the map.

There is no puzzle or lantern trick here. The convoy is stationary in the trees, guarded by a handful of Brencis soldiers, and nothing about the encounter is time-of-day gated.

How to complete Xanthe’s Transports: Past Glory

Track the activity and travel to the marker in the forest south of Sybilla’s. Approach on foot once the icon is close so you do not run past the guards.
Clear the escort. Several armed guards defend the wagon, including a skull-marked enemy that is tougher than the rest, and the objective will not advance while any of them are alive.

Search the bodies. Hold the loot prompt on each fallen soldier to pick up Denarius, a Brencis Soldier Patch, Broken Armour, Broken Sword, and an Improvised Mace among the scrap.

Open the cargo barrels next to the wagon. This is the Loot the transported goods objective, and it is the part players most often leave half-finished.

Take everything, including the skill manuals. Past Glory hands over the Precision Manual, the Restless Blade Manual, and the Second Skin II Manual, which are worth more long-term than the miscellaneous junk.

Grab Orders from Xanthe from the cargo before you leave. The note explains why the convoy exists and confirms you have reached the goods the activity is asking about.

Confirming the ring dropped

Once the last barrel is empty, the activity closes on screen with Xanthe’s Transports: Past Glory marked complete and the Ring of the Night listed as the reward. If the completion banner has not appeared, an objective is still open, so return to the wagon and check for a container you skipped or a straggler guard still standing.

To verify it landed, open your inventory and check the ring slot category. The item shows as a Level 33 Legendary Ring with the +33% Maximum Vampiric Health line at the top of its stat sheet.

Other rings tied to the Gear of the Gods collection

The Ring of the Night is one of four legendary rings, and all of them count toward the Gear of the Gods trophy and achievement. None of the four are sold by merchants, so each requires its own detour.

RingHow it is obtained
Ring of the NightComplete Xanthe’s Transports: Past Glory
Ring of FocusChest in the southeastern corner of Parlita
Astrologer’s RingLoot the astrologer’s body after Home Sweet Home in Aurelius’s Tower
Ring of Quick StrikesChest in the locked room during The Highland Grave

Because the Xanthe Court activities are optional, it is easy to push through the main story and leave the transport untouched until it is well below your level. Clearing Past Glory early keeps the +44% Blood Drinking Restoration relevant while you are still relying on feeding to sustain night combat.
