The Division 2 Reanimated: All Day 1 Challenges and How to Clear Them

Every Day 1 task in the Reanimated global event, the exact conditions that trigger each one, and the fastest farm to finish them.

The Reanimated global event in The Division 2 changes how enemies die. Body shots no longer finish hostiles outright. Instead, downed enemies rise again with a green health bar unless you destroy the head. Land a headshot and the kill releases a corrosive cloud that damages nearby foes. Day 1 of the event opens a set of challenges, and clearing them awards red stars that push you up the reward track.

Quick answer: Activate Reanimated from the Crossroads screen, then play any high-difficulty content while prioritizing headshots. The six Day 1 tasks ask for 200 reanimated kills, 10 consecutive headshots, 50 corrosive headshot hits, finishing reanimated enemies before they stand, melee kills on living hostiles, and one Main Mission on Hard or above.

How to access the Reanimated event and Day 1 challenges

Reanimated is a global event, so it cannot run alongside a seasonal modifier. Turning it on automatically switches the seasonal modifier off for as long as the event is active. You can toggle it back and forth at any time from the same menu.

Open the seasonal Crossroads screen from the menu, then select Events Timeline in the top-right corner.
Move to the Reanimated tab and choose Open. The task list appears here along with the star value each one pays out.
Use the same screen to activate the event. Once it is live, enemy behavior changes immediately and challenge progress begins tracking.

All Day 1 Reanimated challenges and star values

Day 1 holds six tasks worth a combined 14 stars. The bigger kill-count objectives carry the most weight, while the single Main Mission task is the easiest single star you can bank.

Eliminate 10 hostiles with consecutive headshots3

How to complete each Day 1 challenge

Eliminate 200 reanimated hostiles

This is the volume task, and it sorts itself out as you play. Let enemies take body damage so they reanimate with the green bar, then finish them with a headshot to destroy the brain. Dense activities like Control Points feed this counter quickly.

Eliminate 10 hostiles with consecutive headshots

You need a chain of back-to-back headshot kills without breaking the streak. A marksman rifle and steady aim are the simplest route. If you miss the head or land a body shot, the chain resets, so pick your shots against grouped or slower targets.

Inflict corrosive damage from headshots on 50 reanimated hostiles

Every headshot kill on a reanimated enemy bursts into a corrosive cloud. That cloud spreads to nearby hostiles and counts toward this task. Fight in tight spaces where reanimated enemies cluster, so a single headshot kill applies corrosive damage to several targets at once.

Eliminate reanimated hostiles before they get up

When an enemy drops and starts to reanimate, there is a short window before it stands back up. Land the headshot during that window to finish it on the floor. Keeping your crosshair on a downed enemy as it begins to rise makes this consistent.

Melee kill non-reanimated hostiles

This counts only against living enemies that have not reanimated. Soften a fresh hostile, then close in for the melee finish before it dies and rises again. Lower-difficulty trash mobs are the cleanest targets for this one.

Complete any Main Mission on Hard difficulty or above

Set any Main Mission to Hard or higher and finish it from start to boss. The other kill-based tasks naturally progress while you run it, so this is the most efficient single objective to fold into your route.

Fastest farm and build for Day 1

A Control Point on Heroic is the strongest farm during Reanimated. The high enemy count keeps reanimated kills, corrosive spread, and headshot chains flowing, and the assault waves give you grouped targets for the corrosive cloud. Main Missions remain useful for the Hard-difficulty task and for steady experience and materials.

For loadout, the Hotshot Headshot build paired with the White Death Marksman Rifle is the standout pick. Hotshot turns every shot you land after an initial kill into a headshot, which makes both the consecutive-headshot and corrosive-headshot tasks far easier to chain.

Rewards and how to confirm progress

Red stars are the event currency. You earn them by clearing challenges and by leveling your SHD watch while the event is active. Earning stars ranks you up the reward track, and each rank releases caches such as Gear Crafting, Weapons Crafting, Season, Brand Crafting, Named Item, Recalibration, and Exotic caches. Reaching the final rank unlocks the Skullbreaker Backpack Trophy.

You can also spend stars directly at the Events vendor in the White House. The prices are fixed per cache type.

Gear crafting cache3
Recalibration crafting cache3
Named item cache8

To confirm a challenge is done, return to the Reanimated tab on the Crossroads screen. Completed tasks show their stars as collected and add to your event rank, while the reward track marks any newly unlocked cache. If a counter looks stuck, the task description tells you exactly which kill type it tracks, so check that you are meeting the precise condition rather than a similar one.

Clear all six Day 1 tasks, and you bank the full 14 stars before the later days open, giving you a head start on the higher reward ranks. Keep the event active, lean on headshots, and run dense content so the kill counters fill while you progress the rest of the track.
