The 2009 stage of The Hunt: Roblox 20 breaks the usual collectible routine. Instead of hunting eggs, you clear two combat-focused objectives to earn the Crest of the Canyon reward and move deeper into the anniversary event’s chronological run of years.

Unlock 2009 by finishing the Rocket Arena stage first

The main hub does not let you select 2009 immediately. Hunt years unlock sequentially: finish the 2008 Rocket Arena stage, and Chaos Canyon then becomes the active objective. Before claiming that earlier reward, locate and paint ten eggs and earn five KOs.

Once Rocket Arena is done, you drop into the 2009 hub, where the tornado quest and the portal to Chaos Canyon both become available.

Launching Chaos Canyon from its own Roblox page will not advance your Hunt progression. Play through the official event hub so both objectives register.

Survive the 60-second tornado in the 2009 hub

Talk to the quest NPC in the 2009 hub. This triggers the tornado, which spawns on the map and lasts 60 seconds.

Move away from the tornado while leaving plenty of open ground around your avatar, allowing you to turn as its path changes. The house is not safe cover because it cannot block the tornado and may leave you stuck in a tighter area.

Once the timer ends, speak to the NPC again to close out the survival objective and open the route into Chaos Canyon.

Get four kills in Chaos Canyon

Enter Chaos Canyon through the portal and confirm the teleport prompt. The objective tracks eliminations, not survival or match placement, so focus purely on landing kills.

At range, take out players with a single Rocket Launcher shot.
Switch to the Sword if you are comfortable up close, since it deals heavy damage.
Dying does not wipe your kill progress, so play aggressively and trade freely.

Keep watching the counter until it reaches 4/4. When it does, the screen prompts you to return to the hub to claim your prize.

Claim the Crest of the Canyon reward

After your fourth kill, open the game menu and select the option to return to The Hunt: Roblox 20, or leave and rejoin the event to load back into the 2009 hub.

How to confirm the 2009 stage is complete

You know the stage is finished when the claim on the platform awards the Crest of the Canyon badge, the Bloxxer badge, and the Crest of the Canyon UGC accessory. The shield equips on your avatar’s back once claimed.
