Chaos Canyon represents 2009 in The Hunt: Roblox 20, and it is one of the shortest stages in the anniversary run. There are no eggs to paint and no badges hidden in the scenery. You survive a tornado in the hub, you drop into an old-school free-for-all arena, and you punch out four other players. That’s the whole stage.

What the 2009 stage actually gives you
Finishing Chaos Canyon pays out three separate things, and they don’t all arrive at the same moment. The combat badge lands inside the game; the shield only appears once you’re back in the event hub.
- Roblox’s Bloxxer Badge [The Hunt: Roblox 20 Main Quest] — awarded the instant your fourth KO registers in Chaos Canyon.
- Crest of the Canyon badge — granted when you claim at the 2009 pedestal.
- Crest of the Canyon UGC — a shield accessory that equips to your avatar’s back.
None of it costs Robux, and there is no code involved. The only requirement is a fully recorded 2009 year. The event itself ends on September 28, 2026, so the window is finite.
Unlock 2009 first: the years open in order
You cannot jump straight to Chaos Canyon. The Year Zero half of the event walks through Roblox history chronologically, and each year opens only after the one before it is signed off. That means Crossroads in 2006, where Builderman asks you to track down ten badges scattered across the map.
2007 sends you to Sword Fight on the Heights IV, where Telamon points you at five hidden buttons spread across the bridges and structures before the in-game sword objective unlocks.
The last gate is 2008’s Rocket Arena stage. Paint ten eggs around the hub map, then head into the game for five KOs to earn the Brick-Blast Jetpack. Once that year is claimed, the 2009 hub and its portal become live.

The rocket’s projectile travels slowly, which is why firing it at close range works better than sniping across the canyon. Circle-strafe your target, land the shot at point-blank distance, and swap to the sword the moment someone closes in on you.
Repeat kills on the same player count. Join a server with a friend and trade KOs back and forth until you’re both at 4/4.

How to confirm 2009 registered
The year is done when the pedestal hands over the Crest of the Canyon badge and the shield UGC, with the Bloxxer badge already sitting in your inventory from the arena. The shield appears on your avatar’s back once it’s equipped, which is the clearest visual confirmation you’ll get.
If the reward doesn’t appear, check that both the tornado and the four KOs are ticked off, then rejoin the Hunt hub and try the pedestal again. The fourth kill only finishes the in-game half — the UGC is handed out in the hub, not in Chaos Canyon.
Once the shield is in hand, touch the progression cube next to the pedestal to move into 2010 and Work at a Pizza Place. Claim before you step through rather than after; it takes a couple of seconds and saves you backtracking if the year didn’t record properly.
