The 2008 stop on The Hunt: Roblox 20 hands you a weapon before it hands you a task. You can’t mark a single egg in that zone without the Paintball Gun, and the gun doesn’t spawn in your backpack automatically — you have to go ask for it.

Quick answer: Talk to Person299 in the 2008 zone, standing next to the Rocket Arena portal. He gives you the Paintball Gun. Equip it from your hotbar and click an egg to spray it.

How to get the Paintball Gun from Person299

The 2008 map sits third in the chronological run through the hub, after the 2006 Crossroads zone and the 2007 map. You reach it by interacting with the glowing Roblox cube at the end of the previous zone inside The Hunt: Roblox 20, which runs until September 28.

Land in the 2008 zone and stay near the spawn point. Don’t wander off toward the castles yet — everything you need for the first objective is within a few seconds of where you drop in.
Look for the portal that leads to Rocket Arena. Person299 is the quest NPC parked right beside it, and he’s the only source of the gun in the zone.
Interact with Person299 to accept the egg-painting task. The Paintball Gun goes straight into your inventory as soon as the dialogue ends.

How to spray eggs with the Paintball Gun

Select the gun from your hotbar, point at an egg, and click. That’s the whole interaction. The paintball splatters on contact and the egg counts immediately, so there’s no hold-to-charge mechanic or minimum range to worry about.

It’s the same classic Paintball Gun that has been on Roblox since 2007 — a BrickBattle tool with the fastest projectile of the old weapon set — but here it functions purely as a marker. Order doesn’t matter either. You can paint all ten eggs in whatever sequence your route takes you.

All 10 egg locations in the 2008 zone

The eggs are spread across the two forts, the lake, the snow, the lava field, and one underground room. A clean loop is to clear the spawn area first, then the blue side, then the red fort and the hole beneath it.

#AreaExact spot
1SpawnBehind the leaderboard
2Near the portalBehind the giant trowel’s tip
3Snowy hillCorner of the area up the stairs
4Blue castleUpper floor, behind a stairway
5ShorelineTop of the blue spiral staircase
6Red castleGround floor corner
7Red castleFirst floor, behind a stairway
8Underground roomBehind the table, through the ground hole
9LakeAboard the red ship
10Lava fieldOn the corner of a hill

A few of these need a little explanation. The hole for egg eight is on the ground between the red fort and spawn — jump straight in, and you’ll land in the underground venue where the egg is tucked behind the serving area. The lake egg sits on the ship directly in front of the spiral staircase, so you can line up eggs five and nine back to back.

How to confirm the egg quest is finished

Once the tenth egg is painted, walk back to Person299 and talk to him again. That second conversation closes out the zone objective and points you at the next task, which is the Rocket Arena quest through the nearby portal.

Painting all ten eggs does not award a badge by itself. The badge comes from the game quest, not the zone quest.

In Rocket Arena you need five knockouts. Every player gets a Rocket Launcher, a Mega Rocket Launcher, and a Wall, so equip a launcher, use the Wall to block incoming rockets, and rack up hits. You don’t have to win a round. Hitting five is enough to earn the “Warrior Badge (The Hunt: Roblox 20 Main Quest).”

After that, head back to the 2008 map and interact with the black-and-white structure near the spawn point to collect the Brick-Blast Jetpack accessory and its matching badge. Like every UGC item from the event, it stays in your inventory permanently once claimed.
