Tomb Weed Quest Walkthrough in World of Warcraft: Forever

Tomb Weed is a short gathering quest in Tirisfal Glades that sends you into the overgrown fields of Balnir Farmstead to pull five plants out of the dirt. The plants themselves are easy to spot once you know what you are looking at. The complication is the undead wandering between the soil rows, which will pull you off a harvest mid-cast if you are not paying attention.

Quick answer: Loot 5 Tomb Weed from the fields at Balnir Farmstead, east of Brill in Tirisfal Glades, then hand the quest in to Deathguard Burgess north of Brill.

Open your map and look east of Brill, past the road that runs toward Undercity. The quest zone highlights the farmstead itself, and walking in for the first time logs the discovery for 40 experience before you touch a single plant.

What Tomb Weed looks like and what guards it

Tomb Weed grows as a purple-pink leafy plant sitting in the tilled soil rows of the farm. Lootable ones carry a faint sparkle and a yellow outline when you get close, and the quest tracker circle on your minimap keeps you pointed at the right patch of ground.

Two kinds of undead roam the fields while you work, and both are hostile on sight:

Bleeding Horror — level 8, patrols the farm rows and the ground near the buildings.
Wandering Spirit — level 8, drifts across the same area and will aggro mid-harvest.

Clear whatever is patrolling your corner of the field before you start looting. Getting hit part-way through a gather interrupts it, and you end up fighting with half the plants still in the ground.

How to collect all 5 Tomb Weed

Run east out of Brill and follow the road until the farm buildings and fenced fields of Balnir Farmstead come into view. The discovery message confirms you are in the right place.

Move into the tilled rows and interact with the first purple-pink plant you find. Your quest tracker updates to 1/5 Tomb Weed as soon as the gather finishes.

Deal with any Bleeding Horror that closes on you before moving to the next row. These are ordinary melee pulls at this level, and killing one clears that stretch of field for the next few plants.

Work along the rows and pick up the second plant. The counter ticking over to 2/5 is your cue that the rest of the farm still has three more waiting in it.

Sweep the rest of the farmstead for the last three. They spread out across the property rather than clustering, so check the soil near the stone structure and the broken cart as well as the open rows.

Pull the fifth plant. The tracker reads 5/5 Tomb Weed and an Objective Complete message appears, which means there is nothing left to gather at the farm.

Where to turn in the Tomb Weed quest

Head back west toward Brill and keep going past the town center. The hand-in sits with Deathguard Burgess on the north side of Brill, so you do not need to cross into Undercity for it.

If your quest log still shows anything under 5/5 when you arrive, one plant was interrupted mid-gather. Return to Balnir Farmstead, clear whatever is patrolling, and re-loot the row you were standing in — the objective completes the moment the fifth plant lands in your bags.
