Clans in Type Soul are assigned at random the moment you create a character and pick a race. Each race draws from its own pool, and the rarity you land on decides whether you get meaningful stat boosts and a passive, or nothing at all. Common clans are cosmetic and give zero bonuses, so the practical goal is to roll into a Legendary or Mythical clan that fits your build.
Quick answer: Common clans grant no stat boosts and should be rerolled. To change clans, equip a Clan Reroll from your inventory into your hotbar and use it. You earn rerolls through codes, trading, and the AFK World, or buy them with Robux.
Clan rarities and reroll odds
Rarity controls both how often a clan appears and how strong its bonuses are. Mythical clans give the biggest boosts and a passive, Legendary clans give moderate boosts with a passive, and Common clans give nothing. You are never locked to your starting clan, so rerolling away from a Common roll is the standard move.
| Rarity | Roll chance | Stat boosts |
|---|---|---|
| Mythical | 1% | Yes, plus a powerful passive |
| Legendary | 3% | Yes, plus a passive on most |
| Common | 96% | No, cosmetic only |

Note: Soul Reaper and Quincy players receive their starting clan as soon as they join a faction. Arrancars only receive a clan after they remove their Hollow Mask.

The takeaway is simple. Treat every Common roll as a throwaway and keep rerolling until you hit a Legendary or Mythical that matches your race and play style, whether that is Tsunayashiro’s Reiatsu reveal for Soul Reapers, Ikomikidomoe’s Supreme King for Arrancars, or Kurosaki’s low-Reiatsu buffs for Quincies. Stockpile rerolls from codes and the AFK World before you start spinning so you can chase the 1% Mythicals without burning Robux. Type Soul is free to play on Roblox at the official game page.
