Unlock the Edward Kenway Outfit for Naoe in AC Shadows (1.1.11)

Run the Riptides Project in the Animus HUB and trade Data Fragments to claim the hood and full robe.

Run the Riptides Project in the Animus HUB and trade Data Fragments to claim the hood and full robe.

The Edward Kenway outfit gives Naoe the look of the Black Flag protagonist in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, complete with his hooded robe. It arrived with the final 1.1.11 title update, and it is more than a cosmetic swap. The hood and robe both carry their own stats and perks, so equipping them changes how Naoe plays.

Quick answer: Open the Animus HUB, activate the Riptides Project, then spend Data Fragments earned from Anomalies. Reaching level 1 unlocks the hood (600 fragments) and reaching level 20 unlocks the robe (12,000 fragments total).

Unlock the Edward Kenway outfit through the Riptides Project

The outfit is tied to the Riptides Project, which lives inside the Animus HUB. The two pieces unlock at different project levels, and every level you push through costs 600 Data Fragments. The hood comes first; the robe sits much deeper in the track.

Open the Animus HUB from the in-game menu. This is where Animus projects and Anomalies are managed.
Select and activate the Riptides Project. This is the specific project that holds Kenway’s gear.
Spend 600 Data Fragments to reach level 1 of the project. That single level awards Edward Kenway’s hood.
Keep spending Data Fragments to climb the project until you hit level 20, which awards the full robe. Because each level costs 600 fragments, the robe requires 12,000 fragments in total across the climb.

Earn Data Fragments from Anomalies

Data Fragments are the only currency that feeds the Riptides Project, and you get them by completing Anomalies. Anomalies work as weekly objectives, so the full 12,000 fragments for the robe will take time to accumulate.

Open the Animus section and pick an available Anomaly from the list.
Travel to the Anomaly’s marked location and complete its objective. The Data Fragment reward is granted the moment you finish, ready to spend back at the Riptides Project.

Note: Because Anomalies refresh on a weekly basis, plan to return regularly if you want to bank enough fragments for both the hood and the robe.

Edward Kenway outfit stats for Naoe

Both pieces are level 60 gear and shape Naoe’s combat in different directions. The hood leans into adrenaline generation, while the robe pushes damage output and tool effectiveness. Each piece also has an open engraving slot at the Hideout’s blacksmith.

How to confirm the outfit unlocked

Once the Riptides Project ticks over to the right level, the corresponding piece is granted automatically. The hood appears after you clear level 1, and the robe appears after level 20. Both items show up in Naoe’s gear inventory, where you can equip them and visit the Hideout’s blacksmith to engrave the open perk slot.

If a piece has not appeared, the most common reason is simply that you do not yet have enough Data Fragments to push the project to the required level. Each level needs 600 fragments, so keep clearing Anomalies until the project advances and the gear is awarded.
