Apples in Unscathed are ground pickups that do two jobs. They complete the Innkeeper’s 10-apple quest for cash and EXP, and each one you eat gives a short luck boost that scales with your current luck stat. The fastest way to stack them is to know exactly where they appear.

Quick answer: Apples spawn on the central concrete area between the Quest Board, Blacksmith, and Traveller NPCs. Walk over each one to collect it, then loop that area repeatedly since there is no fixed respawn timer.

Where apples spawn in Unscathed

Apples appear on the flat concrete section in the middle of the spawn hub. The three landmarks that box in this area are the Quest Board, the Blacksmith, and the Traveller NPC. Stay inside that triangle and keep your camera angled toward the floor so you can spot the apples as they pop in.

To collect an apple, simply run over it. It drops straight into your inventory, marked with the blue bag icon. There is no prompt to press and nothing to interact with.

How apple respawns work

Apples do not follow a set respawn clock. Instead of waiting for a timer, treat the central area as a route you patrol. Sweep across the concrete, grab everything on the ground, then circle back and check again after you have done other tasks nearby.

Because the drops are irregular, the most efficient method is to fold apple pickups into whatever you are already doing at spawn, such as visiting the Blacksmith or turning in quests, rather than standing still and hoping.

Complete the Innkeeper’s Collect 10 Apples quest

The Innkeeper, found behind the Quest Board, wants you to collect 10 apples. The quest tracker reads “Collect 10 Apples” with progress shown as “Apple: 0 / 10” until you fill the bar.

The key detail is that turning in the quest does not eat your apples. You keep every apple you gathered, so the reward is effectively free once you hit the count.

What eating an apple does

Consuming an apple grants a 10% luck boost for one minute. The boost is multiplicative against your current luck, so it grows with how much luck you already have. At 100 luck, an apple pushes you to 110 for that minute.

That scaling is why apples are worth saving rather than eating on sight. A single apple does much more for a high-luck build than a low one, so the payoff is larger the more permanent luck you have stacked.

Best way to use your apples

Farm the central concrete area until you have gathered 10 apples, then hand the quest to the Innkeeper behind the Quest Board for the 200 cash and 150 EXP.
Keep collecting extra apples after the quest and hold them in your inventory. Since the quest never consumes them, everything you pick up is a stockpile for later.
Eat your saved apples only during an active rolling session, ideally when other luck boosts are already running. Because the 10% is multiplicative, layering it on top of a high luck total gives the best value from each apple.

Handled this way, apples pay you twice. First as a one-time cash and EXP reward from the Innkeeper, and again as a repeatable, one-minute luck bump you can trigger whenever you sit down to roll for auras.
