Reflection is the main quest chapter in Valor Mortis that runs from the Abandoned Church camp hub through a battlefield called Entropy and ends with the fight against Entity, Voice of the Void. The route sends you back underground, across a string of ruined and floating areas, and into a cathedral before the final arena.
Quick answer: In the Abandoned Church, finish talking to Lucjan and pick “Go back to the cave.” Open the red spiral wall door in the Caverns, cross Entropy into the cathedral, step through the fog doorway, and beat Entity, Voice of the Void.
Start Reflection in the Abandoned Church
Reflection begins at the camp. Speak with Lucjan beside the church’s hanging hourglass Lantern and keep talking until the banner “REFLECTION / NEW MAIN QUEST CHAPTER” appears with two replies. Choose “Go back to the cave.” over “Stay in the camp.” to move forward.

Back in the Caverns, walk to the sealed wall door with the carved spiral and glowing red centre. Touch it, and a bright flash takes you out to the battlefield area, Entropy.

A dim, foggy expanse of bodies, carts, and spiked barricades sits beneath the “ENTROPY” banner. Here is a route through the area that works.

Entity, Voice of the Void
The boss’s bar displays “ENTITY, VOICE OF THE VOID”. In the dark pool, it takes the form of a blue-shirted man who mirrors your moves. Its attacks include a flame-powered dash, rapid blade combinations, and a plunge beneath the pool that precedes a massive tentacle slam. Attack with fire during its pauses, and parry its sequences of blade strikes.

When its health is near half, it rises toward the back wall and launches needles; shadow clones and a shadow beast also emerge from the liquid. Use firearms to deal with these enemies. Its defeat has no kill banner—the scene begins immediately.
The ending after the final boss
This section describes the ending.
The defeated man drops into the black pool, where his body changes into a pale skeleton of metal as William watches above him. William extracts a glowing core with a lattice pattern from the remains, then clenches it in his fist.
The montage cuts from a guillotine’s blade to a council chamber plunged into darkness, ships ablaze amid mist, an eagle soaring above countryside and snowbound peaks, and finally a vast army advancing over snow. On a black screen, the logo “VALOR MORTIS” appears alongside the corner prompts “SPEED UP” and “(HOLD) EXIT”.
When loading finishes, you awaken in a shadowy cave passage with your pistol and sabre. Beside the carved spiral door, the message “NEW ENTRY ADDED TO THE JOURNAL. [Tab] VIEW IN JOURNAL” appears. The “CAVERNS” banner comes up, and a Lantern glows farther ahead.

Lucjan is there, speaking about how the end of the world has been delayed. You can answer, “Be hopeful.” or “Be realistic.” After the conversation the screen fades to black.
