Village Combat & Sudden Death

Vampire Life, the public-test survival game from developer dutdk on Roblox, has taken a broad update that rebuilds its vampire castle, refreshes the human village, restructures the point-based upgrade menu, and lays the groundwork for a werewolf path. The game is still an early public test, so systems are moving quickly and the developer has warned that bugs remain.

Quick answer: The update rebuilds the vampire castle and village, keeps five shop items, reworks the point-based skill tree, darkens the UI, adds mobile bat controls, and introduces werewolf infection at a 5% chance.

Vampire castle interior remodel

The vampire base has been rebuilt from the inside out. Running up the stone path and through the entrance now leads into a darker, blood-red interior with redesigned corridors, a banquet room, and red stained-glass windows. The layout of the dining hall and hallways is different from the previous version.

The corridors feed into a long banquet hall lined with a dining table. Because sunlight damages vampires outdoors during the day, the castle interior remains the safe shelter, and the respawn point drops players back inside these halls after death.

Merchant shop items

Inside the base, the merchant NPC carries five items paid for with in-game currency. The stock mixes consumables with cosmetic gear for your avatar and base.

Some vampire cosmetics in this game are level-gated, with cape purchases reported to be refused below a certain level, so reaching higher levels is a prerequisite for part of the wardrobe.

Skill tree upgrades and point costs

The upgrade interface was cleaned up and reorganized. You spend earned points on passive abilities, and several nodes stay locked until you reach the required level.

Vampire Speed unlocks at level 30 and raises movement speed, useful for catching humans before they flee. Sleep lets you rest upside down under a ceiling, with each upgrade adding 25% HP recovery, up to +150% absorbed every 15 seconds while sleeping.

Vampiric Reflexes opens at level 400 and grants a chance to evade melee and tool attacks, scaling with upgrades toward a passive dodge at low health. Blood Transformation Ability is the deepest node, locked until level 800. It enables the vampire blood transformation, letting turned vampires join your bloodline until they reach level 300.

Human village changes and guard threat

The human village received a visual pass. Houses now carry brick exteriors and refined lighting, giving the hunting grounds a cleaner, more detailed look. The village is where most feeding and leveling happens, since humans and rebel NPCs can be drained for experience.

Villagers and guards carry wooden stakes and travel in groups. A low-level vampire who rushes in alone can be cornered and killed in seconds, sending you straight back to the castle lobby.

Bat form and mobile control changes

Alongside the map work, the developer adjusted controls and combat and toned down the interface. The UI colors were darkened to restore the game’s Gothic theme after it had started to look too bright.

  • Regular vampires now have a bat form, with up and down buttons added for vertical flight on mobile.
  • Other players can ride on bats for a maximum of 15 seconds.
  • The witch’s attack now deals more damage.
  • Several console and mobile crash bugs were fixed, with some features scaled back to reduce frequent crashes.

Werewolf infection and what it does

The developer notes describe a werewolf path entering the game, and a werewolf spawn area has appeared on the map past the high-level hunters. The werewolf is still early and the developer has flagged it as unfinished.

  • Only humans can be infected with lycanthropy, and a bite carries a 5% chance of infection.
  • There are three werewolf variants, assigned at random: slime gray, brown, and black.
  • Werewolves get hungry and must eat dead bodies on the ground to feed.
  • The werewolf has no attacks yet, with combat and the witch class flagged as future focus.

Community discussion around the werewolf’s exact release timing was muddled after the development notes circulated on the game’s Discord. No official date is currently confirmed for the werewolf’s combat or future skin options; the developer has only said these are planned.

Why hybrids are not in Vampire Life

Despite the attention on werewolves, vampire-werewolf hybrids do not exist in the game. There is no half-vampire, half-werewolf class to unlock right now, and the two paths remain separate. The broader design points toward four races in total, Vampire, Witch, Werewolf, and Human, each with its own ability tree, but only part of that is live during the public test.
