Redeem these codes for free companion items and cosmetics, and check back often for the latest working list.

VRChat rewards players with cosmetic accessories and companion items through limited-time codes, many tied to anniversaries or collaboration events. These codes unlock items you can equip directly from your inventory once redeemed on the official site.

Working VRChat codes

One code is currently redeemable. It grants a companion item, a pet-style accessory that follows your avatar between worlds once equipped.

  • CUBEFRIEND — Unlocks the Cube Companion (Reference Cube)

This code is time-bound and could expire without notice, so redeem it before checking back for future additions.

How to redeem VRChat codes

Open the VRChat website on a PC or mobile browser and log in with your account credentials.
Navigate to the VRChat redeem page.
Type or paste the code exactly as shown into the text box in the active codes section, then submit it.

A successful redemption adds the item to your inventory immediately. You can confirm it worked by opening the Items or Companions section of your inventory in-game and checking that the new item appears there.

Expired VRChat codes

  • MORILIVE — Previously granted the Mori Calliope Penlight

What the Cube Companion does

Companions in VRChat are a distinct item category from regular props. Once spawned, a Companion stays active and follows you between instances instead of needing to be summoned again each time, and only one Companion can be active per user at once. The Cube Companion unlocked by the CUBEFRIEND code takes the form of the Reference Cube, a recurring item tied to VRChat’s Open Beta releases.

You can manage or swap your active Companion from the Quick Menu’s Details screen, from a dedicated Companion section in the Action Menu, or directly through your inventory.

Where new VRChat codes get announced

New codes typically surface around events and anniversaries rather than on a fixed schedule. The official VRChat account on X and the official VRChat Discord server are where the developers post codes as soon as they go live.

No official date for the next code drop is currently confirmed, so it’s worth checking those channels periodically rather than expecting a set release window.
