WARDOGS: How to Unlock the Anti-Tank and Anti-Air Launchers

The Verba and MAAWS both sit on the Support track, each behind a specific level and a one-time cash payment.

The Verba and MAAWS both sit on the Support track, each behind a specific level and a one-time cash payment.

Tanks and helicopters run the map in WARDOGS, and the only reliable answer to them is a launcher off the Support track. There are no fixed classes here, so nobody hands you a rocket in a menu. You earn access by leveling the Support role, then paying a one-time fee to add the weapon to your buyable loadout.

Quick answer: The 9K333 Verba anti-air missile becomes buyable at Support level 16 after a one-time $50,000 payment. The MAAWS anti-tank launcher becomes buyable at Support level 20 after a one-time $125,000 payment. Both then cost cash again each time you spawn with them.

Support level and cash requirements for each launcher

Unlocking a launcher and owning it are two separate things. Reaching the Support level opens the shop entry, but the weapon stays locked until you make the one-time unlock payment. After that, you still pay the per-life price to bring it into a match.

LauncherRoleSupport levelUnlock cost
RPG-7Anti-vehicle (unguided)5$30,000
9K333 VerbaAnti-air (72mm, guided)16$50,000
MAAWSAnti-tank (84mm)20$125,000

Level up the Support role first

Support XP comes from work, not just gunfights. The fastest route is building. Grab a hammer from a vendor or supply crate, then put up FOBs, walls, and base structures. Every swing pays Support XP and cash, with a larger payout when a structure finishes.

Repairing vehicles with a drill and destroying enemy vehicles, buildables, and spawn vehicles also count toward Support. Kills with Support weapons such as shotguns, LMGs, and launchers add XP too, but building is the steadiest way to climb toward level 16 and level 20.

Tip: If a teammate builds a structure you placed, you still earn XP as they swing, so a pair placing for each other levels faster than either alone.

9K333 Verba anti-air missile (Support 16)

The Verba is a 72mm guided anti-air missile aimed at helicopters. It opens for purchase once you hit Support level 16, and the one-time $50,000 payment adds it to your loadout.

It needs a target lock before firing, and the rocket is single-use. That makes it a self-contained tool for one decisive shot rather than a weapon you keep feeding with ammo. Plan the engagement, get the lock, and fire when the aircraft is committed.

MAAWS anti-tank launcher (Support 20)

The MAAWS fires an 84mm anti-tank shell and is built for light and armored vehicles. It reaches the shop at Support level 20, and a single $125,000 payment unlocks it. After that, it costs $2,600 per life to bring into a match, and its 84mm rockets are separate ammunition.

The big difference from the Verba is the reusable launch tube. You can reload and keep applying pressure on armor instead of getting a single shot, which is why it suits players who want to sit on a vehicle lane and punish anything that rolls through.

The RPG-7 covers you before the guided launchers

You do not have to wait until level 16 to threaten vehicles. The RPG-7 unlocks at Support level 5 for $30,000 and is the best early anti-armor option. It fires unguided rockets, so it works well against tanks and other ground armor.

Helicopters are the weak spot for the RPG-7. Unguided rockets are hard to land on a moving aircraft, so spending cash on extra rockets to chase a heli usually wastes both. Save the RPG for ground targets and let the Verba handle the air once you unlock it.

How to confirm the launcher is unlocked

You will know the unlock worked when the launcher stops showing a locked state at the equipment vendor and becomes a normal purchase. From that point, the only thing standing between you and the weapon is the per-life cash price. Keep in mind that WARDOGS cash carries between matches and dying means rebuying your loadout, so budget for the launcher plus any ammo before you deploy.

Prices and level gates come from the current build and can shift as WARDOGS moves through Early Access, so check the in-game vendor before committing a large chunk of cash to an unlock.
