The Pirate Ship level in Wash the Boat drops you onto a captain’s vessel with two jobs to finish before the level closes out. You power-wash every surface until the ship reads as clean, then you carry every loose object back to the spot it belongs. Neither half can be skipped, and the level only ends once both are done.
Quick answer: Power-wash the QuarterDeck and the basement until each area shows “SPOTLESS!”, then pick up and return every misplaced item until the “ALL TIDIED!” screen appears with the line “Everything back where it belongs.”
How the Pirate Ship level starts
You wait in the lobby while a countdown runs, and the map loads with a flyover of the boat. A cutscene follows in which the Captain lays out the assignment in blunt terms: “You aren’t leaving my ship till everything is cleaned!” and “Scrub every deck. Stow every crate. GET TO WORK!”
Before you start washing, it is worth opening the settings menu. Music can be muted there, which makes the audio cues for cleaning and item pickup easier to hear over a fourteen-minute run.

Add to Google Preferences →Phase 1: Power-wash the deck and basement to 100%
Cleaning is the money phase. You earn cash as you wash, which funds the upgrades that make the rest of the level go faster, so this half should come before any serious tidying.

Phase 2: Return every item to its spot
Tidying works differently from washing in one important way. You do not earn money while placing items, so whatever cash you have when the ship goes spotless is essentially your budget for the rest of the run.
Items are picked up with E, and a prompt tracks how many you are carrying, such as “Press E to pick up item 1/3”. Furniture, chairs, plants, hats, beds, trophies, clothes, barrels, a TV, tables, toilets, plates, and mugs are all scattered around the two decks, and each has a fixed home spot.

Upgrade costs and what each one does
The upgrades menu carries more options than any single run needs. These are the purchases that directly shorten the Pirate Ship level, in the order they pay off.
| Upgrade | Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Item Capacity | $375 | Carry up to 5 items at once instead of 1 |
| Powerwash Size | $600 | Wider spray, fewer passes per surface |
| Highlight | $900 | Marks where a held item belongs |
| Telekinesis | $1,500 | Instantly places a carried item in its home spot |
| Telekinesis (level 2) | $1,800 | Improved version of the same placement ability |
Other entries on the menu include Bath Bomb, X-Ray, Walk Speed, Powerwash Distance, and Pickup Range. None of them are required to finish the level.
Note: because tidying pays nothing, buy Telekinesis while you are still washing or immediately after the ship goes spotless. Waiting until you are deep into placements means the cash simply is not coming.
How to confirm the level is complete
There are two separate confirmations, and you need both. Washing an area to 100% produces the “SPOTLESS!” status for that space, first on the QuarterDeck and then in the basement. The level itself ends with an “ALL TIDIED!” screen carrying the line “Everything back where it belongs.”
If the completion screen has not appeared, one of two things is still outstanding. Either a surface somewhere has not hit 100%, or an object is still sitting somewhere other than its designated spot. Highlight is the fastest tool for tracking down a stray item, since it points at the correct destination for whatever you are holding.
A RESET LEVEL PROGRESS option exists in the menus if you want to run the Pirate Ship again from a clean slate. A full run covering both washing and tidying takes roughly fourteen minutes once you know where the items go.
