EA Sports FC 27’s servers are offline for scheduled maintenance on October 21st. The downtime also covers EA Sports FC 26, FC 25, and FC 24 on every platform. The window started at 06:00 UTC and is set to run for five hours, so Ultimate Team, Clubs, and other online modes stay unavailable until the work is done.

FC 27 maintenance times by time zone
EA posted the schedule on its EA SPORTS FC Direct Communication account on X (@EASFCDirect). Match creation shut off 30 minutes before the servers went down. Any Rivals, Champions, or Clubs match that wasn’t already running by then couldn’t be started.

The 11:00 UTC end time is EA’s planned target, not a guarantee. Long maintenance windows sometimes run over. If that happens, @EASFCDirect is where EA posts a revised end time. EA hasn’t given a reason for the maintenance. It does fall the day before FC 27’s Season 2 kicks off on Thursday, October 22nd, when Season 1 ends.
Repeatedly trying to log in during the window won’t get you in any sooner. The servers come back for everyone at the same time.
FC 27 modes that are offline during maintenance
Anything that runs through EA’s servers is locked until the maintenance ends. If you’re logged in when the window starts, expect to be disconnected.

The Web App and Companion App can still be opened. Anything that relies on matchmaking will throw errors until the servers return. If a match was in progress when the servers went offline, its result may not be saved, and individual match results generally can’t be restored.
What you can still play in FC 27 while servers are down
Offline modes don’t need EA’s servers, so they keep working through the whole window. Kick-Off, local Career Mode saves, Tournament Mode, Practice Arena, and local multiplayer all run as normal. Career Mode works both as a player career and as a manager, as long as the save isn’t tied to Live Manager.
How to tell FC 27 servers are back online
During the outage, opening FC 27 brings up an in-game notice that online services cannot be reached. After maintenance finishes, the notice disappears and Ultimate Team loads as usual. If the planned end time has passed but you still can’t connect, exit the game entirely before starting it again. On console, quit the app fully rather than simply returning to the home screen. Relaunching establishes a new connection to the servers.
If you still can’t connect after that, check EA’s server status page and @EASFCDirect. If both show normal service, the problem is more likely PlayStation Network, Xbox Network, the EA app, or your own connection.
