Where to Buy Riding Wolf Mounts in Orgrimmar (WoW Forever)

Riding wolves are the Orc racial mount in World of Warcraft: Forever, and every one of them is sold from a single pen in Orgrimmar. Both the trainer who teaches Wolf Riding and the vendor who sells the mounts stand next to each other, so a single trip handles the whole process.

Quick answer: Kildar teaches Wolf Riding. Then buy a mount from Ogunaro Wolfrunner, in the far northeastern corner of Orgrimmar’s Valley of Honor. Non-Orc Horde characters must reach Exalted reputation with Orgrimmar first.

The wolf pen sits in the Valley of Honor, the northeastern district of Orgrimmar on Kalimdor. From the main gates, work your way through the city toward the Valley of Honor, then head to its far northeastern corner. You are looking for a wooden fenced enclosure filled with wolves.

Two characters staff the pen. Ogunaro Wolfrunner, the Kennel Master, sells the mounts. Standing beside him is Kildar, the Wolf Riding Instructor, who teaches the riding skill itself.

Requirements to buy and ride wolf mounts

Before a wolf can carry you, a few conditions have to be met:

You must have reached the appropriate character level for riding and trained the Wolf Riding skill.
Orc characters can learn wolf riding freely, since it is their racial mount.
Any non-Orc Horde character must reach Exalted reputation with Orgrimmar before Kildar will teach them.

If your reputation is too low, Kildar turns you away with a clear message: “You need to be exalted with the wolves of Orgrimmar before you can be taught to ride a riding wolf, master.” Once you hit Exalted, that block disappears and the training becomes available.

WoW Forever follows a Burning Crusade-like riding fee system: gold pays for training, and learning to ride provides a mount. Blizzard has not announced Forever’s exact riding level or cost.

How to buy a riding wolf in Orgrimmar

Travel to Orgrimmar and enter the city.

Make your way to the Valley of Honor in the northeastern part of the city, then continue toward its far northeastern corner where the fenced wolf pens sit.

Speak with Kildar, the Wolf Riding Instructor, to learn the Wolf Riding skill. If you are a non-Orc Horde character, you must be Exalted with Orgrimmar for this option to appear.

Confirming the mount is yours

After Kildar teaches Wolf Riding, the skill is recorded on your character and the purchase option becomes available at Ogunaro’s window. Your purchased wolf goes into your bags or collection, where you can summon it to ride. For non-Orc Horde characters, a greyed-out or absent training option means Orgrimmar reputation is below Exalted; that standing is the only gate to learning wolf riding.
