Volkodlak Brutes are elite enemies that arrived with Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact Version 7.0. They roam the open world in scattered groups and drop the character and weapon ascension materials tied to the new region. Because they are elites, each one carries more health and hits harder than a standard overworld enemy, so bring a team that can burst them down quickly.
Quick answer: Volkodlak Brutes spawn across Snezhnaya near Morepesok, Flamefeather Valley, Rankova Zorya, Sretomorozsk, and the Scars of Cursed Obsession domain. Teleport to the closest waypoint or Statue of the Seven at each spot, clear the group, and collect Accreted Fragments and Ethereal Crystals.
What Volkodlak enemies drop
Volkodlak enemies share a common drop pool. The tier of material you receive depends on the enemy’s level, so higher World Levels yield the mid and high-tier items you need for late ascensions. Odette uses Ethereal Glimmershards for her ascension.
| Material | Drops from |
|---|---|
| Ethereal Glimmershard | Any level |
| Ethereal Crystal | Level 40+ |
| Ethereal Crystalscale Stone | Level 60+ |
| Accreted Fragment | Any level |
| Accreted Mass | Level 40+ |
| Accreted Growth | Level 60+ |

Finish the Snezhnaya Archon Quest first, then unlock the region’s Teleport Waypoints and Statues of the Seven. With those points active, every farming spot below is one fast travel away, which cuts the travel time between groups dramatically.
If a Brute sits away from a waypoint, drop a Custom Pin on the map so the on-screen marker leads you straight to it. This is the fastest way to relocate scattered elites after a server reset.

Morepesok and the Inverted Glacier
Teleport to the Inverted Glacier domain entrance, which sits south of Morepesok, then move toward the Brutes gathered nearby. This is a reliable first stop because the domain waypoint puts you right on top of the group.

For a second Morepesok group, teleport to the waypoint just south of the settlement and follow the road that leads down into Morepesok. You will run into multiple Brutes along that stretch.
Flamefeather Valley
South of the Flamefeather Valley Statue of the Seven, a waypoint sits beside the railway track. Teleport in, head straight past the large ice chunk, and a Brute waits near a campsite.

For a denser pack, spawn at the Flamefeather Valley Statue of the Seven and head toward the purple area shown on the map. Push deep into that zone and you will find a good number of Brutes spawning alongside other enemies.
Rankova Zorya station
Spawn at the Rankova Zorya station, head straight, and drop down below the railtrack bridge. A pair of Brutes are salvaging a large ice chunk on top of a frozen lake here.

From the same station, head south along the marked route for a second group. These Brutes cluster near a large ice chunk and in the middle of a heat source.
Sretomorozsk
Spawn at the Statue of the Seven in Sretomorozsk and turn right toward the glacial canyon in the distance. Brutes gather near a campsite and along the frozen canyon itself.

Another batch waits at the edge of the large frozen lake east of Sretomorozsk. Follow the on-screen marker, teleport to the nearest waypoint, and clear the Brute on the ice.

Scars of Cursed Obsession domain
Travel to the Scars of Cursed Obsession domain and head south on the map along the marked path. A Brute spawns in that area, making the domain waypoint the quickest way in.

Volkodlak enemies respawn on the daily reset, so a full loop through these regions can be run again every day. Match the tier of material you need to your World Level, then plan your route around the closest waypoints so you spend more time fighting and less time traveling.
