Where to Find the Orgrimmar Blacksmithing Trainer in the Valley of Honor

The Blacksmithing trainers in Orgrimmar are all clustered in one place: the Valley of Honor, the walled district in the northeastern corner of the city. You will find one set of trainers standing outside around a working forge and anvils, and a second trainer inside the small hut right next to them.

Quick answer: Head to the Valley of Honor in northeastern Orgrimmar and go to the outdoor forge on the eastern side. The Blacksmithing trainers stand around the anvils, with one more inside the adjacent Burning Anvil hut.

Blacksmithing trainer location in the Valley of Honor

The forge sits on the eastern end of the Valley of Honor, roughly around the 80, 23 area of the Orgrimmar map. It is an open area with lit anvils and several orc NPCs standing near them. The Journeyman trainer Ug’thok is found right by the anvils at about 80.7, 23.4, which is a reliable marker for the whole cluster.

How to reach the forge from the city entrance

Start in the Valley of Strength, the main entrance area that holds the bank and Auction House. This is where you arrive when you enter Orgrimmar from Durotar.

Follow the road east and north through The Drag, the covered street that links the central valleys, and keep going until it opens into the Valley of Honor.

In the Valley of Honor plaza, turn right toward the east side, where you’ll find the outdoor forge and anvils. The trainers are gathered nearby in the open.

Two trainers matter for learning and leveling the profession. Ug’thok stands out by the anvils and handles the early ranks, while Saru Steelfury sits inside the neighboring hut for the higher training tiers.

Ug’thok is the trainer to talk to first if you are just picking up the profession. He teaches Apprentice Blacksmithing and trains the skill up to 75. Learning here requires character level 5 and costs a small amount of copper.

Saru Steelfury stands inside the Burning Anvil hut right beside the forge and handles the advanced ranks. Step through the arched doorway to train with him once your skill climbs past what the outdoor trainers cover.

When your skill nears the cap of the Orgrimmar trainers, the next step in the Classic progression is Brikk Keencraft in Booty Bay, Stranglethorn Vale.

How to confirm you found the right trainer

Hover over an NPC and check the title under the name. A Blacksmithing trainer shows a title such as “Journeyman Blacksmith” or “Artisan Blacksmith” in the nameplate. Right-click the trainer and the training window opens, listing the ranks and recipes you can learn. If that window appears with Blacksmithing options, you are at the correct NPC and can pick up or level the profession right there.
