Embroidering Clouds is a Wandering Tale found under Mount Tai Part 1 in Where Winds Meet, set in the mountain market of Rockspire Street in Qingzhou. It is a short errand that sends you between an embroidery workshop and the market below to recover a missing pattern fragment for an embroiderer named Shi Xue.
Quick answer: Fast travel to Rockspire Street, speak with Yang Huiniang on the workshop roof and Madam Yue inside, grab the Torn Pattern Page by the scaffold in the lower market, then give it to Shi Xue to complete the tale.
Where to start Embroidering Clouds
Open the Exploration menu and select Wandering Tales, then pick Embroidering Clouds under Mount Tai Part 1. From the map, fast travel to the Rockspire Street waypoint. The tale begins atop the embroidery workshop, where an embroidery lady sits muttering to herself about the clouds she wants to capture in thread.
On reaching Rockspire Street, make your way onto the embroidery workshop roof. Yang Huiniang is seated at its edge, studying the clouds as she searches for a pattern.
Jump off the roof into the workshop beneath it and speak with Madam Yue, positioned beside the embroidery frame. She discusses Lu Embroidery’s long history in Qingzhou and directs you to the missing fragment.
Open the Wandering Tales details to confirm the new clue, then check the map and head down the main road into the lower market area. A marker points you toward the market square below the workshop.
In the market, find the wooden scaffold surrounded by sacks and crates. The Torn Pattern Page sits on a wooden platform beside it. Interact with the glowing item to pick it up.
Run back up the stone steps and return inside the embroidery workshop. Talk to Shi Xue, choose the Give option, and hand over the Torn Pattern Page. She recognizes it as a fragment from the pattern manual she compiled, with clouds she drew herself.
Rewards for completing Embroidering Clouds
Once the closing dialogue plays through, the tale ends and the rewards drop onto an Obtained screen. The payout is fixed for every player.
You will know the tale is finished when the “Wandering Tales | Embroidering Clouds Ending” banner appears and the Obtained screen shows the four rewards above. The entry then clears from your active Wandering Tales list under Mount Tai Part 1.
