The Licheng Terrace section of the Experience log, found under Sentient Beings in Where Winds Meet, holds six anecdotes tied to the Inkbound Order and the troubles brewing in Qingzhou. Collecting them means talking to the right people, listening in on the right conversations, reading a desk flyer, and setting the in-game clock to two specific hours. Each entry you register pays out crafting and exploration rewards once claimed.

Quick answer: Finish the Wandering Tales quest Cart Path (Licheng Terrace Part 7) first, then set the clock to Chen (morning) for the first five entries and Zi (midnight) for the final wrestling entry.

Prerequisite: Complete the Cart Path quest

None of the six anecdotes will appear until you have cleared the Wandering Tales quest Cart Path, listed as Licheng Terrace Part 7. You can confirm this in the Exploration menu under Wandering Tales, where the quest should read Completed. The NPCs and conversations that trigger the entries only populate the area after that quest is done.

Five morning anecdotes at Licheng Terrace

Travel to the Licheng Terrace landmark using fast travel. Set the clock on the time dial to Chen, the dragon hour (about 07:00 to 09:00). During this morning window, the NPCs needed for the first batch of entries will be present.

Walk a short distance west to a cart where three men are standing together: Strategist Liu, Hong Chengji, and Short-Legged Dragon. Stay near them and listen to their exchange to unlock Threats from the South, which notes that both Lin Xiansheng and Xiao Heyi have left Qingzhou.

Find Ma Nianyi’s desk nearby and inspect the Apex Chariot Contest Flyer (the Twenty Rules for Safe Driving sit alongside it). Reading the flyer records Origins of the Chariot Races, explaining how the sect’s ceremonial war chariots became public races.

Pin a waypoint south of Licheng Terrace, toward the Qingzhou Eastern Peak region, and travel about 300 meters into the mountain woods to a bandit outpost ringed by ruined stone walls. Crouch in the tall grass outside the wall and eavesdrop on the two bandits talking to unlock Hidden Threats, which reveals someone bribing local bandits to seize the region.

Teleport back to the Licheng Terrace landmark and head north into the fenced training ground by the archery targets. Speak with Hu Jianshui, standing beside Bao Dekuai and the Humble Monk, to register The Bowmen Militia about Lin Xiansheng’s Vigilante Society.

Terrace Wrestling at the midnight hour

The final entry needs a different time of day. Climb the stairs into the large covered wrestling pavilion above the training grounds, then open the time dial again and switch the clock to Zi (midnight, roughly 23:00 to 01:00).

With the clock at Zi, Cheng Jiuwen appears inside the pavilion. Talk to him and choose the dialogue option about Terrace Wrestling to unlock the last anecdote, Terrace Wrestling, which describes martial artists gathering to spar and master the Inkbound Order’s old forms.

Cheng Jiuwen only shows up at the midnight hour, so leave this entry for last and change the clock after you have cleared the five morning anecdotes.

Rewards and how to confirm completion

Completing an anecdote gives 5 Echo Jade and 5 Qingzhou Exploration score. Finish all six to gain 30 Echo Jade and 30 Qingzhou Exploration toward the region’s completion total.

You will know each entry has registered from the on-screen “Anecdotes [name] Obtained” popup that fires the moment you talk to the NPC, finish listening, or read the flyer. To verify the full set, open the Exploration menu, go to Sentient Beings, select Licheng Terrace, and check the Experience tab. When all six show as recorded, the Licheng Terrace Experience category is complete.
