Where Winds Meet: Recluse Quest Guide (Wellspring Town Part 4)

Recluse is a short Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet’s Qingzhou region, listed under Wellspring Town Part 4 in the Eastern Peak area. It has no combat and no puzzles. You carry a poetry collection between a former student and his old teacher, then bring the teacher’s reply back. The whole thing takes a couple of minutes once you know where both NPCs stand.

Quick answer: Talk to Jiang Zhenliu at Baotu Spring, give his book to Zhuge Feifei in the Primary Hall courtyard, then hand the second half to Jiang south of town by a thatched hut.

Recluse NPC locations in Wellspring Town

The quest moves between three spots, and Jiang Zhenliu changes position partway through. Once you leave Baotu Spring, he will not be there when you come back.

The Primary Hall is the same area the map marks for Trials of the Six Arts: Rites, so either label gets you there. Jiang wears a maroon martial robe, which makes him easy to pick out near the spring.

How to complete Recluse

Travel to Wellspring Town in Qingzhou Eastern Peak and head for Baotu Spring. Jiang Zhenliu, a Raging Tides disciple, stands at the stone balustrade over the pond holding a book.

Speak with Jiang Zhenliu. He explains that he has not seen his former teacher, Zhuge Feifei, in three years, and he asks you to deliver his poetry collection. Agree, and the book goes into your inventory.

Open the map and track the Primary Hall, which sits to the southeast across town. Walk into its courtyard.

Find Zhuge Feifei, known as the Master of Recluse Study, seated at a stone table. Interact with him, choose Submit, and hand over the poetry collection.

Talk through the dialogue with Zhuge Feifei. He reveals he has been writing a second half to the collection and gives it to you to pass back to Jiang.

Find Jiang Zhenliu’s new map marker beyond the main settlement, just south of Wellspring Town. Take the road leading out of town to reach the spot.

Recluse completion and rewards

The quest is done when the banner Wandering Tales: Recluse:Ending Unlocked appears after the final conversation with Jiang. In the compendium, Recluse then shows as completed under Wellspring Town Part 4, with its rewards attached.

Where Winds Meet has a separate quest also called Recluse. That one is an Injustice quest at Baima Crossing in Kaifeng’s Roaring Sands, started by Freckled Lai, and it has nothing to do with the Qingzhou poetry handoff.

If the Wellspring Town entry reads as completed and the Ending Unlocked banner fired, there is nothing left to chase. Jiang and Zhuge Feifei have their finished collection, and the tale is closed.
