Witchspire wraps its cozy cottage-and-Familiar exterior around a surprisingly long checklist. There are 70 achievements in total, and they split into a few clean categories. Some pop the moment you finish the tutorial, while others demand thousands of resources, full gear sets, and the rarest creatures the game can spawn.
Quick answer: Most achievements unlock by doing one specific thing once. Bond the named Familiar, hit the listed player level, upgrade the Hearth to the stated level, or collect the exact resource total. The grindy ones (1,000 potions, 1,000 wood, 99 Familiars) just track a running count, so they complete the instant you cross the threshold.
How Witchspire achievements unlock
Each achievement fires automatically when its condition is met. You do not turn anything in. The pop-up and the entry in your achievement list flipping to complete are your confirmation that it counted. Counting-based achievements only register the milestone hit, so a single extra potion, plant, or kill is enough to trigger them once you are at the edge.
Bonding is the heart of the list. You bond a wild Familiar by defeating it in battle and then collecting the orb it can drop. That drop is a chance, not a guarantee, so expect to fight the same species more than once. Bringing Simple Spirit Incense raises your bonding chance for a short window, which matters most for the rare, epic, and legendary targets.

Add to Google Preferences →Progression achievements: Hearth, player level, and Witchspire Keys
These come from steady play. Hearth upgrades are gated by resources, mainly wood and stone, so stockpile both early instead of spending them on decorations. Player levels climb fastest by clearing quests and fighting. Witchspire Keys come purely from pushing the main story forward.

Crafting and resource achievements
Brewing, cooking, harvesting, and gathering all track lifetime totals. The cheapest way through the big numbers is to mass-produce simple recipes whenever you have spare ingredients and to harvest every tree, node, and plant you pass. Luminaries unlock with points you earn from leveling and from Luminary Shrines out in the world.
| Achievement | Condition |
|---|---|
| Smells terrible… Perfect! | Brew 10 potions |
| Potions for Days | Brew 1,000 potions |
| Tasty! | Cook 10 food items |
| Master Chef | Cook 1,000 food items |
| Organic | Harvest 10 plants |
| Green Machine | Harvest 500 plants |
| Wooden Mansion | Collect 1,000 Wood |
| Stone Age | Collect 1,000 Stone |
| Shimmering | Collect 25 Shimmerdust |
| Call of the Luminaries | Unlock 10 Luminaries |
| The Master of Unlocking | Unlock 100 Luminaries |
Note: Organic requires farming to be unlocked, since you harvest grown plants rather than wild pickups. Plan your Witchcraft Circle and farming routes before chasing the 500-plant target.
Gear equip achievements
Equipping achievements only check what is currently in your slots. Hang on to duplicates and Legendary drops instead of selling them, because two of these need a full set across every slot.
| Achievement | Condition |
|---|---|
| Gearing Up | Equip any item |
| Full House | Equip an item in every equipment slot |
| Bling | Equip a Legendary item |
| Ready For Anything | Equip Legendary gear in every equipment slot |
Familiar bonding achievements by species
The bulk of the list is creature collecting. Each species sticks to a biome that matches its theme, so head to the right region and keep fighting until the orb drops. Several entries are themed around starting zones, which makes them early and easy, while endgame and rare variants demand unlocked regions and saved bonding items.
| Achievement | Familiar and where to bond it |
|---|---|
| Best Friends | Obtain your starter Familiar in the tutorial |
| Creature Collector | Bond any wild Familiar |
| Flower Picking | Taileaf, grassy regions |
| Rock & Roll | Rockling, rocky biomes (beginner area) |
| You. Are. ADORABLE. | Lamloof, open plains and grasslands |
| Those look… Sharp | Specra, around the starting area and later zones |
| Spicy | Chirili, the Chirili Crater and warm volcanic areas |
| Fired up | Charling, fire-themed environments |
| Here kitty kitty! | Pheomina, revisit familiar habitats |
| You’re not as scary as you look, are you? | Etherit, advanced regions |
| Don’t make eye contact. | Granloof, cleared early-game stage and beyond |
| Rollin’ | Lety, rolling terrain |
| Sit! | Xilvant, endgame areas |
| Splashin’ | Bompus, water-based areas |
| Diamond in the rough | Shardling, mines and mining areas |
| Dam, dam, dam! | Detrox, rivers, lakes, and waterways |
| You’re a big one! | Treetop, forest regions |
| Oh deer! | Loija, wooded areas and meadows |
| Playtime! | Firra, revisit older zones after progressing |
| What’s so funny? | Cindle, areas surrounding the starter location |
| Lux from above | Traxio, sky-themed or celestial zones |
| Glad you’re on my side… | Shudder, dangerous regions |
| Gw- Gwen who? | Gwaraofeerinax, extremely rare late-game encounter |
| The Trickster | Verlai, one of the rarest Familiars |
Rarity and named Familiar achievements
Beyond individual species, the game tracks rarity tiers and a handful of unique named Familiars tied to specific encounters or questlines. Shifty Familiars are color variants, so you bond one the same way you bond any creature. The named ones, Peb, Vex, follow their own paths and quest rewards.
| Achievement | Condition |
|---|---|
| A Rare Find | Bond a Rare Familiar |
| Those are Rare | Bond 5 Rare Familiars |
| Epic Moment | Bond an Epic Familiar |
| Very Epic | Bond 5 Epic Familiars |
| Strongest Around | Bond a Legendary Familiar |
| Best of the Best | Bond 5 Legendary Familiars |
| Something Different | Bond a Shifty (color variant) Familiar |
| A Blessing from Starhaven | Bond a Celestial Familiar (among the rarest) |
| Om’s Blessed | Bond 99 Familiars of any type |
| Queen of the Rocklings | Bond Peb (follow its questline) |
| A Special Bond | Bond Vex (unique encounter) |
Tip: The rarity-tier achievements stack with everything else you bond. If you are already chasing Om’s Blessed by collecting 99 Familiars, your rare, epic, and legendary counters fill alongside it as long as you prioritize the higher-tier species in late-game and endgame zones.
Why a bonding achievement might not pop
The most common reason a creature achievement does not trigger is that you defeated the Familiar but never collected its orb. The orb drop is a chance on defeat, so the bond only completes when you actually pick it up. If a species refuses to appear, you are likely in the wrong biome or have not unlocked the region where it spawns. Returning to a creature’s home habitat and fighting repeatedly, ideally with Spirit Incense active, clears up nearly every stuck bonding goal.
Working through the list naturally covers most of these. The progression, crafting, and gear achievements stack on top of normal play, leaving the rare, epic, legendary, and named Familiars as the true grind. Save your strongest bonding items for those encounters, keep a full set of Legendary gear in reserve, and the only thing standing between you and a complete list is patience with the drop rates.
