Work at a Pizza Place: How to Get Builder Brothers’ Balancing Act

Builder Brothers’ Balancing Act is the hat tied to 2010 in The Hunt: Roblox 20, and Work at a Pizza Place is the year that hands it out. Getting it takes two separate pieces of work: a scripted time-travel story inside the pizzeria, and a short ingredient hunt back in the event hub. Neither part is hard, but the quest is long and a few of its triggers are easy to miss.

Quick answer: Finish the [EVENT] ROBLOX 20 story in Work at a Pizza Place, enter the date-based time machine code, then collect three pizza ingredients in the hub’s 2010 area and claim the hat at the pedestal.

Event window and what the quest pays out

The hat went live on September 17, 2026 and stays obtainable until September 28, 2026. After that the accessory stops being claimable, so the whole run needs to happen inside that window. Expect roughly 15 minutes at a relaxed pace.

The story also awards the “You stole the secret recipe!” badge. The poster, visor and car land in your Work at a Pizza Place inventory as a reward pack; the hat itself is only granted in the hub.

Start the event mode in Work at a Pizza Place

Load Work at a Pizza Place, either directly or through the 2010 portal in The Hunt: Roblox 20. On the title screen, press Play and pick the [EVENT] ROBLOX 20 option.

Walk to the dock behind the restaurant and find the boat marked for the anniversary event. Stepping onto it sends you to the staging area for the quest.

In the staging area, sit on the queue benches and wait for the countdown. You do not need other players, the timer teleports you into the event map on your own.

Up to four players can share a run, but the quest has a reputation for breaking. Solo runs lower the chance of a stall, and a rejoin to fix a glitch wipes your progress in the story.

Present-day tasks: order, sausage pizza, fire, office

The opening stretch is a compressed version of the normal pizzeria loop, and each objective shows as a counter on screen. Teammates completing a task still counts toward your progress.

Stand at the cashier counter and take the customer order to clear “Take customer order”.

Head into the kitchen and build a sausage pizza from standard dough, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and sausage, then put it in the oven.

A fire breaks out. This is scripted, not a mistake. Pull the fire extinguisher off the wall near the door and put the flames out.

Walk down the hallway past the boxing area into the manager’s office. The recipe is gone, and yellow arrows on the floor point you out the back door.

The Detective, Jordan, and the time machine

Outside near the parking lot, talk to the Detective. He runs a short cutscene and takes you by boat to an island across the water.

On the beach, walk up to Jordan by the campfire and hear him out. He opens a hidden hatch inside his broken shack.

Follow him down into the bunker to reach the time machine room. The dial starts on the present year before it is set back.

Pull the lever to send the machine back to 2010, then step out through the cardboard box portal on the other side.

Cook, box, and deliver three pizzas in 2010

The 2010 restaurant plays deliberately clunky, and the shift has four beats: get hired, cook, box, deliver. Talk to Brick Builder at the counter and put on the employee uniform to begin.

Three pizzas are needed, and the retro kitchen expects the toppings in the right combination.

Bake all three pizzas in the oven to clear the “Cook 3 pizzas” counter.

Follow Brick Builder to the boxing station. Put a box down first, then drag each cooked pizza onto it. Trying to drag a pizza with no box out is the usual reason this stage feels stuck.

Carry the boxes to the car outside and drive the neighborhood route. The three drop-offs are C3, B1 and A2, and each house shows its code on the postal box out front.

Steal the secret recipe and enter the time machine code

Drive back to the pizzeria and slip into the manager’s office while Brick Builder is busy. The bottled secret recipe is sitting on the desk.

Leave the building and follow the marker back to the cardboard box. If the front door is locked, use the side exit instead.

Inside the time machine room, interact with the keypad terminal and type the eight-digit code. It is the current calendar date in MMDDYYYY form, so it changes every day the event runs; on September 20, 2026 the code was 09202026. The Detective’s dialogue and the on-screen prompt both spell out the exact digits for your session, so read them rather than guessing.

A cutscene plays, you land back in the present, and the reward pack with the R20 Poster, R20 Visor and 2010 Car drops along with the badge. That closes the pizzeria half of the quest.

Collect the three hub ingredients and claim the hat

The accessory is granted in The Hunt: Roblox 20 hub, not in the pizzeria. Return to the hub and head for the 2010 area, where Dued1 waits at a podium with a short platforming task. Three pizza ingredients are scattered across the floating platforms nearby.

Bring all three back to Dued1’s podium and use the cooking spot to finish the quest dialogue. The pedestal in that area then hands over Builder Brothers’ Balancing Act.

Order between the two halves is flexible. The ingredient hunt can be done before or after the pizzeria story, but both are required before the hat unlocks.

How to confirm the hat unlocked

Two confirmations tell you the run landed. Inside Work at a Pizza Place, the “You stole the secret recipe!” badge notification appears at the end of the escape cutscene, with the reward pack listing the R20 Poster, R20 Visor and 2010 Car. In the hub, the pedestal interaction produces the badge award popup for the 2010 quest.

After that, Builder Brothers’ Balancing Act shows up in your avatar inventory as a hat, described in the marketplace as a nod to advancement at Builder Brothers Pizza. If the hub podium still shows the ingredient objective, one of the three pickups was missed and the hat has not been granted yet.

With the 2010 year cleared, the pizzeria portal stays open for the rest of the anniversary event, so the same hub area is where later 2010 content gets picked up if you come back before the window closes.
