WANTED: Vulgara the Insatiable is one of the bounty-style objectives in World of Warcraft: Forever, and it trips people up for a simple reason. Players assume a named elite with a title like that must be tucked inside a cave somewhere. Vulgara isn’t. The spawn sits out in the open, up a slope, and the only real obstacle is that she hits like the elite she is.

Quick answer: Vulgara the Insatiable spawns on the mountain south of Shen’dar Village in Teldrassil, not in a cave. Kill the elite bat with a group, loot Vulgara’s Head, then head back down to turn the quest in.

Vulgara the Insatiable location: south of Shen’dar Village, Teldrassil

Open your world map and look at the quest marker south of Shen’dar Village. The highlighted zone sits on high ground, and the path there is a grassy mountain trail rather than a cave entrance or an instance door. Follow the slope upward and keep climbing until you reach the flat area near the top.

If you reach the marked circle and see nothing, you’re probably standing at the base of the mountain rather than on top of it. Keep going up.

Why you should group up before pulling Vulgara

Vulgara is an elite, and elite bounties are built around the old group-quest template. Blizzard used to label these as elite quests outright, and the design assumption hasn’t changed much: more than one player is expected, and the recommended number is deliberately conservative. Plenty of people over-level the target and solo it later, but at the intended level range this is a two-or-more job.

There’s a practical upside to that. Because this is a shared spawn, other players tend to gather at the top of the mountain waiting for Vulgara to appear. Joining a group there costs you nothing and removes the risk of someone else tagging her first.

  • Vulgara is a timed spawn, so expect a wait if she was recently killed.
  • Group up with anyone already standing at the spawn point rather than racing them.
  • If nobody is around and the fight goes badly, come back a few levels later.
  • Wanted-style bounties are usually picked up from a wanted poster, not an NPC with a quest marker.

How to kill Vulgara and loot Vulgara’s Head

Run the grassy path up the mountain from Shen’dar Village until you reach the spawn area at the top. Don’t bother searching the hillside for a cave mouth, because there isn’t one to find.
Join the group of players waiting at the spawn point. If the area is empty, wait for the respawn timer rather than pulling nearby trash and risking adds during the fight.
Attack Vulgara the Insatiable once she spawns. She’s an elite bat, so focus fire with the group and keep hitting her until she goes down.

Loot the corpse and take Vulgara’s Head. This is the item that satisfies the objective, and it drops from Vulgara herself rather than from any surrounding mobs.

Confirming the objective and turning the quest in

You’ll know the kill counted the moment the objective tracker flips to Vulgara’s Head 1/1. That’s the only confirmation you need. If the tracker still reads 0/1 after the kill, you didn’t actually loot the corpse, so click it again before anyone despawns it.

From there it’s a straight walk back down the mountain. Check your map for the turn-in marker, which sits back at Shen’dar Village, and hand in the head there. Since the whole trip is a single climb, a single elite, and a single loot, it’s a fast bounty once you’ve got a group lined up — and if the fight is chewing through you at the moment, it stays just as easy a few levels later.
