WoW Forever: How to Complete Standing Our Ground in Teldrassil

Standing Our Ground is a short escort quest in Teldrassil, handed out at Windfield Orchard by Aenesta Windfield. It looks like a fight on paper, and the quest text sets one up, but the encounter at the end resolves without the player needing to land a single hit.

Quick answer: Take Standing Our Ground from Aenesta Windfield at Windfield Orchard in Teldrassil, walk her down to the stone archway to confront Fereau the Bludgeon, then speak to her again for 200 XP and a Red Delicious Stormapple.

Open the Teldrassil map and look for Windfield Orchard to set your bearings before you head over. Aenesta stands near the orchard buildings with the standard yellow exclamation mark above her, and the minimap picks her up as you approach.

How to complete Standing Our Ground

Talk to Aenesta Windfield at the orchard and accept the quest. Her intro sets the scene with the line “The Windfield Orchard has seen better days…” Pick the reply “I’m ready to fight, Aenesta” to lock in the escort.

Follow her as she walks down the path toward the orchard entrance. She moves at a steady pace and does not need protecting along the way, so you can simply keep up rather than pull anything ahead of her.

Pause by the stone archway. Fereau the Bludgeon is there with his bandits, and a scripted conversation begins automatically. Fereau asks about Alurion; Aenesta answers that he remains in the Hills with the peacekeepers, which Fereau dismisses as a bluff.

Allow the scene to play through. Aenesta ends the conversation, says she has finished talking, and thanks Stranger for everything. She then activates a defense that eliminates the entire group in one move. The display first shows “THREAT DETECTED: ADMINISTERING VIOLENCE,” then changes to “FUNCTION FULFILLED.” and “RESUMING REST MODE.”

There is no damage requirement here, so a low-level character in starter gear can finish the escort without any risk of losing the encounter.

Rewards and how to confirm the quest is complete

Once the bandits are down, Aenesta reacts to what just happened with “Huh. Well that was… unexpected. I guess we know what that big lug’s purpose is now.” Speak to her on the spot to hand the quest in.

Where to play this quest right now

Teldrassil’s reworked orchard content sits in World of Warcraft: Forever, the new branch of Classic that keeps the level cap at 60 while adding zones, dungeons, and more than a thousand quests. The beta opened on September 17, 2026 and runs through October 21, 2026, and access to it is bundled with the Skyborne Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection rather than the Heroic pack.

If you would rather wait, the full release lands on November 4, 2026 and is covered by an active WoW subscription or game time, with the upgrade packs staying optional.
