Quick answer: A Rogue learns 26 trainable class abilities from level 1 to 60. The first three, Eviscerate, Sinister Strike and Stealth, are available at level 1.

In World of Warcraft: Forever, a Rogue gets new class abilities and new ranks of existing ones by visiting a Rogue trainer as you level up. When a new rank of an ability you already know becomes available, you return to the trainer to learn it. Abilities from the talent trees are learned separately and do not appear in the level lists below. They are covered in the full breakdown of every Rogue talent in WoW Forever.

Rogue abilities from level 1 to 19

This range holds 16 of the Rogue’s abilities, the largest share of the kit. You start with Eviscerate, Sinister Strike and Stealth at level 1. Backstab follows at level 4, Slice and Dice and Sap arrive at level 10, and Ambush rounds out the stealth openers at level 18.

New and changed Rogue abilities in WoW Forever

Blizzard changed several Rogue abilities and weapon rules for WoW Forever. Some of these changes are baseline, so every Rogue gets them without spending talent points.

  • Sap never breaks Stealth, as a baseline change.
  • Poisons carry additional charges and can be applied alongside sharpening stones.
  • Rogues can use one-handed axes.
  • Expose Armor can lower armor by the equivalent of up to five Sunder Armor applications; it also no longer prevents Sunder Armor.
  • For 10 sec, Distract weakens Stealth detection, though enemy players are alerted that a Rogue is close.
