Hsin is the 5-star Electro Rectifier arriving in Wuthering Waves Version 3.7, and the first Sentinel of Mengzhou to become playable. Her kit is unusually large for a single Resonator: two combat forms with separate attack strings, two separate Forte resources, two Resonance Liberations, and two selectable Resonance Modes that change how her damage reaches the enemy.
Quick answer: Hsin alternates between Answering Form and Illumining Form. Each form builds its own Heart resource, and spending that resource unlocks that form’s Resonance Liberation. Most of her big hits count as Resonance Skill DMG.
Hsin’s element, weapon, and combat role in Version 3.7
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Rarity | 5-star |
| Attribute | Electro |
| Weapon | Rectifier |
| Scaling | ATK |
| Role | Main DPS with off-field damage |
| Core systems | Dual forms, Unison, Electro Flare |
Her damage profile leans heavily on Resonance Skill DMG rather than Basic Attack DMG. Several of her largest attacks — Realm Wanderer, Pillars Aligned, and Beholding All Horizons — are triggered from the attack buttons but are still treated as Resonance Skill DMG, which is why her Forte Circuit carries so much of her total output.

Add to Google Preferences →Answering Form: attack string, Reign at Ease, and the Moon Fox state
Answering Form is Hsin’s hands-on melee stance. She chains up to four Normal Attacks for Electro DMG, and her Heavy Attack spends stamina before letting you press Normal Attack again to drop straight into Stage 2 of the string. The same Stage 2 follow-up is available after her mid-air attack, which keeps the combo readable whether you start on the ground or in the air.
Holding Normal Attack in mid-air casts Heavy Attack – Answering Form: Reign at Ease, a continuous stamina drain that keeps dealing Electro DMG. Releasing the button, or letting the skill run out, sends her into a plunging attack that turns her into the Moon Fox on landing. Her Dodge Counter has its own entry point, feeding into Stage 3 of the string instead.

Her Answering Form Resonance Skill doubles as her exploration tool. Cast it on the ground and then move, and she shifts into the Moon Fox. Out of combat, that form grants Dustless Tread, which lets her walk inside an enemy’s aggro range without starting a fight, and it restores 2% of Max HP each second.
- Moon Fox ends as soon as she dodges or is hit; afterward, she briefly ignores both damage and interruption.
- Pressing Normal Attack ends the form and casts Basic Attack – Answering Form Stage 4.
- Swapping to another Resonator also ends it, as does entering combat or interacting with the world.
Illumining Form: Xuanfang Mechanisms and Modular Heartlock
While Illumining Form is active, Hsin no longer attacks directly; Xuanfang Mechanisms fight under her control. If she is not in Mechanism Dominion, her Normal Attack is a shorter three-hit sequence. Stage 1 also places a Modular Heartlock where the target stands. The lock has no independent effect: Stage 2, Heavy Attack, Dodge Counter, or Resonance Skill – Illumining Form striking it causes it to collapse and deal additional Electro DMG.
Her Resonance Skill in this form calls down a Colossal Xuanfang Mechanism for Electro DMG. If she is in mid-air, the Resonance Skill button is replaced by a plunging Mid-air Attack instead, so the button does different things depending on whether her feet are on the ground.

Mechanism Dominion: how to enter it and what changes
Once Illumining Heart reaches 300 points, the Resonance Skill button becomes Illumining Form: Pillars Aligned, an area attack that counts as Resonance Skill DMG and pushes her into Mechanism Dominion for 13 seconds. During that window her Normal Attack string grows to four stages and her Dodge Counter is upgraded, and every one of those enhanced hits burns Illumining Heart while she is on the field.
Illumining Heart is only consumed by those enhanced hits when Hsin is actually on the field, so leaving her off-field during Mechanism Dominion does not drain the resource for you.
Forte Circuit: spending Answering Heart and Illumining Heart
Forms Turn, Heart Abides splits her Forte into two pools. Answering Form builds and spends Answering Heart, Illumining Form builds and spends Illumining Heart, and each pool has one finisher attached to it. Both finishers are cast by holding Normal Attack at the cost of stamina, and both are counted as Resonance Skill DMG.
| Form | Trigger | Finisher | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Answering | 100 Answering Heart | Realm Wanderer | Liberation – Formshift |
| Illumining | All Illumining Heart spent in Mechanism Dominion | Beholding All Horizons | Liberation – Pillars Across Heaven |
Each finisher has an upgraded version gated behind a buff on a timer. Casting Realm Wanderer grants Resolution of Wishes, which the cast consumes to become the stronger Realm Protector; Beholding All Horizons grants Law of Heaven, which upgrades it into Stilling All Horizons. Both buffs can only be gained once every 25 seconds, so the strongest version of each finisher is on a hard cadence.
Realm Wanderer also makes her immune to damage and interruption for its duration, and when it is cast outside the Heart Manifest state it spends the full 100 Answering Heart to open Resonance Liberation – Formshift. Beholding All Horizons works in reverse at the end of a Mechanism Dominion cycle: casting it drops her out of Mechanism Dominion and opens Resonance Liberation – Pillars Across Heaven.

Resonance Modes: Unison versus Electro Flare
On top of the forms, Hsin can be set to one of two Resonance Modes. The choice does not change her attack strings — it changes what her team needs to do around her. Switching modes wipes the tracked buffs and stacks tied to the mode you leave, so this is a setup decision rather than something to flip mid-fight.
Resonance Mode – Unison
Unison turns her into a swap-driven unit. Casting Resonance Liberation – Formshift grants her Unison for 5 seconds, and triggering a Unison Response grants Source Intent and replaces that Intro Skill with the stronger Intro Skill – Manifold Unison. If she casts an Intro Skill while holding Source Intent without a Unison Response, the stack is spent to get the upgraded Intro anyway.
The shortcut worth knowing: casting Intro Skill – Illumining Form, or its Manifold Unison version, sends Hsin directly into Mechanism Dominion without having to build 300 Illumining Heart first. Switching Resonance Mode removes Source Intent, Unison, and Unison Boon.
Resonance Mode – Electro Flare
Electro Flare converts teammate output into her own. Every stack of Electro Rage the team inflicts on a target gives Hsin one stack of Heart of Thunder, up to 100 stacks, and consumes all Electro Rage from that target in the process. The stacks vanish if you change modes.
- When Resonance Skill – Illumining Form hits with at least 5 stacks, it spends 5 to trigger Electro Flare DMG at 200% of the target’s current Electro Flare DMG multiplier.
- Shortly after that skill, all remaining Heart of Thunder is spent at once for a single instance of Electro Flare DMG.
- That dump scales as 40% × the number of stacks consumed × the target’s current Electro Flare DMG multiplier.
What the Hsin gameplay showcase shows
An early combat preview of Hsin and Suoming was shared publicly with Kuro Games’ permission on September 3, 2026, pulled from a test build with English voice acting. It opens on both character models before moving into a fight, with Suoming building her Concerto Gauge first and swapping out so the pair can chain their Intro and Outro Skills.
The most telling moment comes after Hsin’s Resonance Liberation. She leaves behind a golden field that stays on the battlefield after she swaps out, periodically calling down swords onto enemies while another character holds the field. That persistence is the clearest sign she is not purely an on-field carry, and it lines up with how her forms are built to be set up, left running, and returned to for the finisher.
The footage comes from a test build, so numbers and animations can still change before release.
When Hsin arrives in Wuthering Waves
Hsin is a Version 3.7 Resonator and is expected in the first phase of the update’s banners, with Suoming following in the second phase. Version 3.6 runs from August 20 through September 30, 2026, and on the game’s usual 42-day cycle that places the Version 3.7 launch on October 1, 2026. Kuro Games has not published the maintenance announcement that would confirm it, and the banner schedule beyond the two new Resonators has not been finalized either.
For players deciding whether she fits, the practical read is simple. Hsin rewards people who are comfortable tracking two resource bars and a 25-second buff cadence, and she asks for a team built around one of her two modes rather than a generic support shell. Anyone who wants a straightforward on-field carry will find her rotation deliberate by design.
