Hsin is a 5-star Electro Resonator built around switching between two combat forms, each with its own resource bar and its own Resonance Liberation. She fights with a Rectifier and is positioned as a main damage dealer whose hits mostly count as Resonance Skill DMG, with the option to keep dealing damage off-field through coordinated attacks. She is set to arrive with Wuthering Waves version 3.7.
Quick answer: Hsin cycles between Answering Form and Illumining Form, filling Answering Heart and Illumining Heart to unlock two separate Resonance Liberations, and you pick either Unison or Electro Flare as her team direction.
Everything below reflects pre-release kit leaks and is subject to change before Hsin goes live.

Hsin’s role, element, and weapon
Hsin, the Moon Fox of Mengzhou, is one of Huanglong’s Sentinels. In combat she reads as an Electro main DPS whose damage profile leans heavily on Resonance Skill DMG, even when the actual button press comes from another part of her kit.

Answering Form and Illumining Form
Hsin runs two complete movesets. She starts in Answering Form and transforms into Illumining Form during her rotation, and each form has its own resource that you build and spend.
Answering Form (default)
Answering Form is her grounded starting stance, where her Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, mid-air attacks, and Dodge Counter all deal Electro DMG and build Answering Heart. Once Answering Heart reaches 100 points, holding Normal Attack casts a special Heavy Attack (Realm Wanderer) that deals Electro DMG counted as Resonance Skill DMG and makes her immune to damage and interruption during the animation. Casting it consumes the gauge and unlocks her first Resonance Liberation.
Illumining Form (after transformation)
Illumining Form is her transformed state, where she commands Xuanfang Mechanisms instead of striking directly. Here she builds Illumining Heart up to 300 points. Reaching the cap replaces her Resonance Skill with Pillars Aligned, which puts her into the Mechanism Dominion state for 13 seconds. During Mechanism Dominion her Basic Attack becomes an enhanced version that spends Illumining Heart on every hit. When the gauge is fully drained, a special Heavy Attack (Beholding All Horizons) becomes available, and casting it exits Mechanism Dominion and unlocks her second Resonance Liberation.

Hsin’s two Resonance Liberations
Hsin’s Resonance Liberation is split into two casts that bookend her form cycle. The base cast, Formshift, is the transformation that carries her into Illumining Form and opens up that whole second moveset. It functions as a state change rather than a simple burst.
The second cast serves as the finisher: once Illumining Heart is depleted and Mechanism Dominion is cleared, it inflicts a large amount of Electro DMG and puts Hsin back into Answering Form. This completes the cycle, allowing her to restore Answering Heart and repeat the sequence. Resonance Liberation also causes her to launch coordinated attacks that deal Electro DMG.
Coordinated attacks and off-field damage
Formshift places Hsin in Illumining Form and gives her Edict stacks for that form’s duration. While Edict remains, damage from a teammate calls down one Soaring Pillar as a coordinated attack, with this effect limited to once per second. You can activate her state, switch to another Resonator, and let her continue dealing Electro damage off-field before returning to use the finisher.

Unison and Electro Flare Resonance Modes
On top of the two forms, Hsin has two Resonance Modes that change how she supports and damages a team. You commit to one direction and build teammates around it.
| Mode | Core mechanic | Team focus |
|---|---|---|
| Unison | Triggers Unison Response, grants Unison and Unison Boon, and turns her Intro Skill into an Enhanced Intro Skill | Swap-heavy play with repeated Intro Skills and ATK buffs |
| Electro Flare | Stripping Electro Rage stacks from an enemy grants Heart of Thunder, which Resonance Skill consumes to inflict Electro Flare DMG. | Teammates apply Electro Flare to power her personal burst |
While Unison is active, Hsin receives the state by casting her Resonance Liberation. Once a Unison Response is triggered, her next Intro Skills become more powerful Enhanced Intro Skills. For Electro Flare, she depends on allies applying Electro Flare, then turns those effects into a stronger period of Electro damage. Electro Rover pairs especially well with this setup: having both Hsin and Electro Rover in the party increases the Electro DMG they deal together.
Team buffs from Intro, Outro, and Inherent Skills
Her support layer changes with the chosen mode. Two Inherent Skills, Tides of Succession and Gleaning Simple Joys, add the mode-specific effects. In Unison, casting an Enhanced Intro Skill raises her ATK and increases Unison Boon stacks on teammates. In Electro Flare, party members inflicting Electro Flare cause Hsin to deal more damage (once per party member), and her Resonance Liberation spreads Electro Flare to nearby targets up to the stack limit.
Her Outro Skill also branches after the finisher is cast. In Unison, party members other than Hsin gain All DMG Amplification once they hold Unison. In Electro Flare, the Electro DMG dealt by the rest of the party is amplified instead.

The Moon Fox exploration form
Outside of combat, Hsin’s Resonance Skill in Answering Form lets her turn into the Moon Fox if she moves shortly after casting it. In this form she restores 2% of her Max HP every second and gains Dustless Tread, which lets her walk into an enemy’s aggro range without starting a fight. The Moon Fox form ends when she enters combat, dodges, takes damage, is switched out, or interacts with the environment.
Tune Break
Like other current Resonators, Hsin carries a standard Tune Break entry. When a target’s Off-Tune Level is full, she can cast Tune Break on that enemy. It sits alongside her kit rather than replacing the Unison and Electro Flare systems that define how she actually plays.
Put together, Hsin is a Resonance Skill DPS whose whole rotation is about moving through Answering Form and Illumining Form, filling and spending two resources, and firing two Resonance Liberations, all while you steer her toward either Unison swap play or Electro Flare burst. Final multipliers and numbers can still shift before launch, but the dual-form skeleton and the two-mode choice are the parts to plan a team around.
