Quick answer: Phoenix’s banner runs from October 21st to November 11th. Severian’s runs from November 11th to December 1st. Both of their check-in events end on December 1st at 03:59 server time.

Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 banners and W-Engines by phase

Version 3.3 is split into two phases. Each phase has one new S-Rank Agent, one rerun Agent, and a matching signature W-Engine for each.

Phoenix is the Krampus Compliance Authority’s second-in-command in combat. Her Core Skill, Nirvana, sears enemies that already have an Anomaly. After that, any Anomaly damage dealt to them can land a critical hit. If she takes a fatal blow, she triggers Rebirth and comes back on the spot with full health.

Severian is a senior commissioner at New Eridu Public Security. His Core Skill, Endless Breeze, dodges an incoming attack automatically and turns it into a counterattack. Successful dodges and hits from a specific skill build Energy, which powers stronger chains of slashes.

A third new W-Engine is free. Candlelit Scheme is an A-Rank Armorer W-Engine, and you earn it from the Spooky Funhouse Tales event.

All times below are server time. Most events require Inter-Knot Lv. 20 and Main Story Chapter 1 – Intermission. The two check-in events have a lower bar of Inter-Knot Lv. 5 and the Prologue, “The Hare and the Proxy.”

The two check-in events are the simplest rewards in the patch. Log in on any 7 days during All-New Program to collect 10 Encrypted Master Tapes. Do the same during “En-Nah” Into Your Lap to collect 10 Boopons.

Spooky Funhouse Tales is a VR game run by the HIA Club. You drive Trickmobiles to scare off uninvited guests in a haunted funhouse. Clear every Mission Mode stage to unlock a limited-time Angels of Delusion outfit through the Angels Support Operation rewards event. Lumina Square also gets festive decorations while the event is running.

The remaining three story events are more modest in scale. Cyber Miracle Healer, on Duty! has you repairing Bangboo that went haywire after eating “toxic” chips. In Trails of the Hobbling Crow, you hunt for Crowe’s attacker and can also earn a limited-time title. Repair! Drifting Art tasks you with reassembling artwork fragments lost at sea. For five days apiece, Area Patrol and Combat Simulation bounties offer double rewards.

Advanced Bounty: Area Patrol also requires the Reputation Rank-Up Mission “Path of the Proxy I” and an unlocked Area Patrol. Inter-Knot Lv. 21 alone is not enough.

Journey to the Sky: Story, new areas, and the Bangboo Mech

Season 3 Chapter 4 of the Main Story, “Journey to the Sky,” is a permanent addition. To access it, first complete Season 3 Chapter 3, “Their Secret Histories.” The chapter unfolds while Booastrum is under armed lockdown. An occupied skyport is the sole route back to the island, forcing Judge Phoenix and Commissioner Severian to cooperate. The Proxy travels alongside Lindverne, drawing closer to the truth behind the three Sunbringers and their Karma Cores.

Playing through the chapter unlocks two new Roscaelifer areas:

  • Roscaelifer – [Restricted Area] Quietude Isle
  • Roscaelifer – [Restricted Area] Airspace Control Tower

The Bangboo Mech is a new way to fight. You can pilot it in the main story and while exploring Quietude Isle. In the story, Lindverne builds High Ambitions Corp. combat mechs with her Karma Core power, “Genesis Reconstruction.” The mech has a melee mode and a ranged mode, each with its own skills, and you can swap between them at any time in combat. After an EX Special Attack or a dodge, it can fire a stronger laser. You can also shoot explosives in the environment or punch heavy objects to help with fights and puzzles. On controller and mobile, ranged mode includes aim assist. Mech combat will stay in the game in future versions.

Phoenix and Severian each get new Agent Trust Events and Quality Time Events. To unlock them, you need to own the Agent and finish the stories listed under Workbench > Partner Archive. Each Agent also has a dynamic wallpaper, which unlocks once their Trust Level is high enough.

Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault rotations in 3.3

The Critical Node buffs in Shiyu Defense favor Fire Anomaly and Wind Attack teams, which suits both new Agents. Here are the main effects for each phase.

Shiyu Defense Critical Node, Phase I

  • Anomaly Agents get +20% Fire DMG. When their Attribute Anomaly DMG crits, the squad recovers 20 Energy and gets +30% Attribute Anomaly DMG for 20s (once every 20s).
  • All Agents get +20% Sharp DMG and +20% DEF. Defeating an Elite gives Stun Agents 30 Energy and the squad 500 Decibels.
  • Attack Agents get +20% Ether and Ice DMG and +40% CRIT DMG. Stunned enemies recover Daze 15% slower for 15s.

Shiyu Defense Critical Node, Phase II

  • Attack Agents get +35% ATK and +20% Wind DMG. An Ultimate hit lowers the enemy’s Wind RES by 15% for 30s.
  • Anomaly crits give the squad +10% ATK and +20% Attribute Anomaly DMG for 15s. Inflicting a Fire Anomaly lowers the target’s Fire RES by 10% for 15s.
  • All Agents get +35% Sheer DMG. A Rupture Agent’s Ultimate gives them +50% Fire and Ice DMG for 15s.

Shiyu Defense Critical Node, Phase III

  • Attack Agents get +30% Wind DMG and +40% CRIT DMG. After an EX Special Attack, hits ignore 20% of Wind RES for 15s.
  • Armorer Agents get +15% DEF and +15% Sharp DMG. All hits ignore 10% of Fire and Electric RES.
  • All Agents get +30 Anomaly Proficiency. Stunned enemies recover Daze 10% slower for 15s. In Ether Veil, Agents get +15% ATK and ignore 20% of Ether RES.

Unless noted otherwise, triggering any of these timed effects again resets its duration. Deadly Assault’s boss lineup changes as follows:

PhaseTrialAdversity
Phase IBlasphemer, Unknown Corruption Complex, Discordant Solo – VesperIntegrated – Girtablullu – Stagnant Aberrant
Phase IIBlasphemer, Infernal Revenant, Autonomous Assault Unit – Typhon DestroyerRewritten – Sanguine Sweeper

Several new enemies also arrive this version. They include Blasphemer, Integrated – Infernal Revenant, Integrated – Haytor, Metamorphosed – Tepes, Integrated – Sacrifice – Heretic Jester, and Special Offensive – Autonomous Support Unit – Guardian MK II. In Hollow Zero, Phoenix and Severian get Tactical Prism Programs and matching Exploration Missions.

Enigma of the Labyrinth: Spooky Trial season

The permanent extraction mode has a new seasonal theme. Collect Spookies Power Candles from certain containers in the Hollow, then turn them in at the Spookies Tactics Table. From there, you pick a trial that suits your playstyle. Master Devil, a Devilboo instructor, runs a three-round challenge that gets harder each round. Clearing trials earns cumulative rewards, buffs, and Candle Cores. Candle Cores also have a chance to drop from the new limited-time Spookies Carrot Containers.

You sell Candle Cores at Spookies Recycling, a new shop at Omond Research Station. You can visit your own shop, a friend’s, or one belonging to your Outpost group, and you can reach other players’ shops with a share code. Each shop has its own buyback price, so it pays to compare. Sales earn Season Coins, and you can assign any Agent you own to run your shop.

Limited Spookies at Boojee’s Store, which you can trade for Polychromes, Spookies Power Candles, and the Full Moon Homecoming Proxy accessory, are only available during Version 3.3. Spend them before the version ends.

High-Risk investigations gain a Mimic Substance synthesis system this season. Mimic Substance comes in three varieties, obtainable from random containers, particular enemies, and featured Investigation Events. Every pickup inflicts a random Corruption that remains until the investigation ends; carrying more Mimic Substance raises the odds of a severe Corruption. Collect all three varieties and they combine automatically into a valuable item. This can happen multiple times in one run.

The mode also gets Tactical Prisms for Phoenix, Severian, Orphie & Magus, Soldier 0 – Anby, Alice, Trigger, and Burnice. Other additions include a Map Rankings page in the Database that tracks your best result on each map every season. Inventory controls are smoother too. You can scroll with the mouse wheel while dragging an item, assign the Basic Attack button to item interactions outside combat on mobile, and discard or use items from the Supply Box with one tap. A countdown now shows when your temporary Safe capacity increase expires. That increase lasts until the end of 3.3 and resets with Version 3.4.

Agent Guides, Challenge prompts, and other system changes

Version 3.3 adds Agent Guides, which you can open from an Agent’s details page, the Function Menu, the Compendium, or the Beginner Guide. They cover upgrade paths and team compositions. Two features sit inside Agent Guides. Fairy’s Team Recommendation builds lineups from the Agents you own, explains why each one works, and saves a lineup as a preset in one tap. It is still labeled as being in testing. Some Agents also get Tutorials with videos that cover their unique combat resources and core techniques.

Challenge prompts now appear before battle in some permanent modes, such as Notorious Hunt and Expert Challenge. If you bring too few Agents or your Agents are under-leveled, a prompt shows up in the bottom-right corner with recommended upgrades in priority order. In harder modes, the prompt also flags a poorly matched team and links straight to the relevant team-building guide. You can turn these prompts off.

Other changes worth knowing about:

  • The Proxy Profile screen now shows what each Inter-Knot Reputation level unlocks, and rank-up reminders appear on progression and training screens.
  • You can link your HoYoverse and Discord accounts under Options > Account > User Center > Link Account. You can unlink them at any time.
  • The Combat Readiness rules text on the Agent main screen is clearer.
  • There are new City commissions, side missions for exploring hidden spaces, and achievements, including some hidden ones.
  • New titles are tied to Agent Trust, Hostile Targets, Zenless Zone Zero 2026 FES, and Trails of the Hobbling Crow. Event titles are limited-time.

Support for iPhone Duo models is planned for some time during Version 3.3, estimated for early to mid-November. Once it arrives, update the game from the Zenless Zone Zero App Store listing if your device needs it.

Version 3.3 bug fixes

Several fixes target Agents from the previous version. Roxy’s visual effects, main screen elements, and Ultimate on mobile no longer display incorrectly. Remielle no longer drops out of her Phase Flow state unexpectedly. Claret’s effects in VR Device training are fixed, and damage numbers now display correctly when Maim DMG triggers Laceration DMG. Agent skills will no longer miss enemies that are using a Control Skill.

Two text-only changes clear up confusion without changing gameplay. “Combat Tutorial: Gash” now says that “Some Sharp DMG builds up Gash.” Roxy’s “Eternal Slumber” Gear in Hollow Zero: Operation Matrix now reads “All-Attribute DMG RES.”

On PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox, the Exclusive Channel and W-Engine Channel detail screens sometimes displayed Agents or W-Engines that differed from your Signal Customization selections. The display issue is corrected and did not affect Signal Search results. Enigma of the Labyrinth receives more than a dozen fixes: Hounds spawn as intended, and taking a hit while entering Evacuation Anchor: Final Battle no longer causes a stage failure. Agents no longer become frozen after using Etheric Phantom, while Etheric Phantom: Scorpse now inflicts damage. Other fixes cover audio, camera, and text, and voice-overs in English, Japanese, and Korean are improved for story and combat content from earlier versions.
