Where Winds Meet: Xiaoba’s Keepsakes Wandering Tale Walkthrough

Track down all three of Xiaoba's hidden keepsakes in Jadestream Valley to close out this Hidden Mountain quest.

Track down all three of Xiaoba’s hidden keepsakes in Jadestream Valley to close out this Hidden Mountain quest.

Xiaoba’s Keepsakes is a Wandering Tale set in the Hidden Mountain region of Where Winds Meet, near Jadestream Valley. It begins when you read a note left behind by Xiaoba and then chase down the three items he described as his treasures. Each item sits at a separate landmark, and handing them back in the right places wraps up the tale.

Quick answer: Read Xiaoba’s Memo in the wooden tower at Jadestream Valley, then reach the Puppet Blueprint on the overturned house roof, the Intricate Wooden Joint on the windmill’s center axle, and the Cherished Flower Seeds by the broken boat at the shore. Interacting with all three completes the tale.

Where Xiaoba’s Keepsakes starts in Hidden Mountain

The quest is anchored in the Hidden Mountain region, specifically around Jadestream Valley. Your first target is a tall wooden tower structure built into the cliffs. The whole tale plays out in this small pocket of the map, so once you arrive you can finish everything without long travel.

The clue that ties it together comes from the memo itself, which points you toward three spots: above the windmill, beneath the Overturned House, and by the Seven-Hued Plain. Those three cues line up with the three keepsakes below.

Read Xiaoba’s Memo in the wooden tower

Head to the wooden tower in Jadestream Valley and climb the outside using the red banners as handholds. The structure is dilapidated, so watch for gaps as you scale it.

Enter the tower and move to the candle-lit desk inside, where papers and scrolls are scattered on the floor. Interact with the prompt to pick up Xiaoba’s Memo. This also hands you Fire Grease x3 and Fire Oil x1, and you’ll see the “Wandering Tales – New Clue Acquired” notice appear.

Return the Puppet Blueprint on the roof

Leave the tower through the balcony, drop down, and climb onto the adjacent wooden platform. This is the top roof area of the overturned house, overlooking the valley with its large decorative wheels and red ribbons.
Find the wooden post labeled Puppet Blueprint and interact with it. Choose “Fix Puppet Blueprint,” then select “Put the diagram back” to restore it and clear this part of the tale.

Collect the Intricate Wooden Joint from the windmill

Jump off the platform and glide down toward the large spinning wooden wheels nearby, using the red ribbons to slow your descent. Aim for the main windmill in the group.
Climb onto the center of the wheel and interact with the Intricate Wooden Joint at the axle. Picking it up adds Intricate Wooden Joint x1 to your inventory.

Find the Cherished Flower Seeds by the broken boat

Leap from the wheel and glide down to the grassy field of yellow flowers below. Run toward the water’s edge, where a broken wooden boat rests on the shore.
Stand beside the boat and interact with the Cherished Flower Seeds to grab Cherished Flower Seeds x1. This is the final keepsake, and the “Wandering Tales – Xiaoba’s Keepsakes Completed” message pops up right after.

Rewards and how to confirm completion

Once the last keepsake is handled, the Obtained rewards screen appears. You can also open the Exploration menu and check Wandering Tales under Hidden Mountain, where Xiaoba’s Keepsakes should now read as Completed. If that status is showing, the tale is finished and the rewards are already in your account.

Note: If the tale still shows as incomplete, you have likely missed one of the three interactions. Retrace the memo’s hints and confirm you triggered the Puppet Blueprint, the Intricate Wooden Joint, and the Cherished Flower Seeds, since all three are required before the completion notice fires.
