The Exaiphanes Blade is the Traveler’s own 5-star sword, and it does not level up like any weapon you pull from a banner. There are no ascension screens to click through and no Mora to spend for its growth. Instead, it advances one step at a time whenever you strengthen a Statue of the Seven in Snezhnaya.
Quick answer: Switch the Traveler to their Cryo form, hit a Snezhnaya Statue of the Seven with a Cryo Elemental Skill or Burst to activate it, interact with the statue, and pick View Exaiphanes Blade to apply one upgrade. Each statue grants exactly one upgrade.
How to get the Exaiphanes Blade
You obtain the sword by playing through the Snezhnaya Archon Quest in version 7.0. It is not sold on any weapon banner and cannot be pulled, so simply progressing the main story hands it to you. Once it is in your inventory, it sits at its starting values until you begin powering up statues.
Equip it on the Traveler to see its stats and the Traveler’s Path passive in the Weapons tab. Only the Traveler benefits from the passive, so keep it on that character.
Requirements before you can upgrade
Two conditions must be met before a statue will offer the upgrade. Miss either one and the option will not appear.
- The Traveler must have unlocked their Cryo form by resonating with Cryo at the Snezhnaya Statue of the Seven.
- You must activate the statue with a Cryo attack, using the Traveler’s Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst.
How to upgrade and refine at a Statue of the Seven
You know it worked when the weapon details screen shows the higher level and the updated Traveler’s Path text after you confirm.
Stats gained at each upgrade
The blade’s substat is CRIT Rate. Both Base ATK and CRIT Rate climb with each of the first five upgrades, then hold steady once the sword reaches Level 90.

How the Traveler’s Path passive scales
The passive is called Traveler’s Path. It always regenerates Elemental Energy and boosts ATK for 8 seconds after the Traveler hits an opponent, on a 5-second cooldown, and it works even when the Traveler is off the field. From the second upgrade onward it also grants CRIT DMG based on how many Elements the Traveler has resonated with. Upgrades 3 and 5 raise stats only and leave the passive text unchanged.

Statue of the Seven locations in Snezhnaya
In version 7.0 there are five Statues of the Seven across Snezhnaya. Because the blade needs seven upgrades for its highest tier, and only five statues exist right now, you cannot reach maximum refinement in this version. Power up all five to take it as far as the current map allows, and the remaining upgrades will follow as more statues are added.
If the upgrade option never shows up at a statue, the usual cause is a missed requirement. Confirm the Traveler is in Cryo form and that you hit the statue with a Cryo Skill or Burst before interacting. Once both are true, the View Exaiphanes Blade choice appears and the sword climbs one tier higher.
