Fisch: How to Get Refined Scrap and Salvaged Scrap Fast

Both materials drop from Crushed Diving Helmets at the Gloomy Crevice in The Deep, harvested with a harpoon gun.

Both materials drop from Crushed Diving Helmets at the Gloomy Crevice in The Deep, harvested with a harpoon gun.

Refined Scrap and Salvaged Scrap both come from the same source in Fisch, which makes them easy to farm in a single loop. Both materials drop from Crushed Diving Helmets, a trash item that spawns inside the Gloomy Crevice deep within The Deep. Salvaged Scrap drops every time you land a helmet, while Refined Scrap only appears occasionally, so the grind is the same target with two very different odds.

Quick answer: Go to the Gloomy Crevice in The Deep, equip a harpoon gun, and catch Crushed Diving Helmets along the floor and side walls. Every helmet gives Salvaged Scrap; Refined Scrap has a low chance from the same helmets, so repeat the loop until you have enough.

What you need before farming

Two things matter here. You need access to The Deep, and you need a harpoon gun equipped. The harpoon gun is what highlights the Crushed Diving Helmet in gray, letting you spot and grab it quickly instead of hunting blindly along the terrain.

How to reach the Gloomy Crevice in The Deep

Travel to The Deep, the underground area of the map. Head to the northernmost side of the map and dive below the boat to enter.
Follow Nereus further down. The Gloomy Crevice sits below, and you swim past the main quest NPC to reach it.
Look for the green glow. The Gloomy Crevice is easy to identify by its distinct green-colored ground, which sets it apart from the surrounding terrain.

Farming Crushed Diving Helmets for scrap

Equip your harpoon gun. This makes the Crushed Diving Helmet show up highlighted in gray so you can pick it out from other objects on the ground.
Search the bottom floor and the side walls of the crevice. Helmets sit in the lower sections and along the sides, so sweep those spots first.
Fire at each helmet you spot and reel it in. Every Crushed Diving Helmet you catch guarantees a Salvaged Scrap.
Keep looping the floor and walls. Refined Scrap has a low chance to drop from the same helmets, so the only way to build a stack is to keep catching more of them.

Tip: Since both materials share one target, you never need to change spots. Just circle the crevice, grab every highlighted helmet, and the Salvaged Scrap piles up while you wait on Refined Scrap.

How to know it worked

Each successful catch adds the item to your inventory. Salvaged Scrap appears after every helmet, so you will see it climb steadily. Refined Scrap will only show up on the occasional catch, which is normal given its low drop rate. If you are not getting helmets at all, confirm you have a harpoon gun equipped and that you are inside the green-lit Gloomy Crevice rather than a nearby part of The Deep.
