Down in the Dumps drops you into a flooded sewer beneath Flamefeather Valley, Snezhnaya, with one goal: find a way back to the surface. The exit is locked behind a control room door that needs three keys, and reaching each one means bending the water level with Prime Ice constructs and clearing out Leshy along the way.
Quick answer: Read the Sewer Entrance/Exit Guide, then grab the Blue Key in that room. Use the Blue Key to drain water and reach the White Key; use both to open the path to the Red Key, defeat Klenova the Ascended; slot all three keys into the control board; then take the Sewer Lift Control Wheel from the final Leshy to open the elevator.

How to start Down in the Dumps
Down in the Dumps is the third part of the In the Dwelling of Life quest chain in Version 7.0. It begins on its own the moment you finish the previous part, Transplanted From Yesterday to Tomorrow, which leaves you at the bottom of the sewer. From there the objective simply reads “Find a way to get out of the sewer and back to the surface.”

Note: The same room holds a gun blueprint (the Gunstock), so pick it up before moving on.
Where the three keys are
Your Goggles spot the Blue Key right away, but the White and Red keys stay locked away until you use the earlier keys to reshape the water. Here is the order they unlock in.
| Key | How you reach it |
|---|---|
| Blue Key | On the device beside the door you entered through, in the control room itself. |
| White Key | Behind a gate the Blue Key drains open; found one water level down. |
| Red Key | In a lower chamber full of Leshy, opened using both the Blue and White keys. |
Collect the Blue Key and drain to the White Key

Use both keys to reach the Red Key

Open the control room and beat Klenova the Ascended
Note: If the wheel does not appear right after the kill, check the ground where the Leshy collapsed rather than the capsule.

Ride the lift back to the surface
Take the Sewer Lift Control Wheel to the rotating mechanism by the gate and use it to open the door to the elevator. Ride the lift to the top, then follow the stairs ahead to climb back out of the sewer.
The quest closes out once you reach the surface. You will know it worked when the objective updates and the In the Dwelling of Life chain moves on toward Back on One’s Feet and the town of Okurov.
