Prism Scales are the currency of the Fetching Scales for Feebas event in Pokémon Pokopia, and they only come from one place. You gather them on Dream Islands, carry them back to town, and hand them to Feebas in exchange for beach furniture that unlocks both Feebas and Milotic.
Quick answer: Talk to Feebas outside any rebuilt Pokémon Center, travel to a Dream Island (the Pikachu Doll or the DLC Starmie Doll islands hold the most), and pick up every Prism Scale you see. You can only visit one Dream Island per day, so search thoroughly before you leave.
Event window and requirements
The event runs from August 13, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. to August 28, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. local time. After that window closes, Prism Scales stop spawning on Dream Islands and Feebas stops selling the event furniture, so anything you still need has to be bought before the deadline.
Two things must be true before Feebas appears. Your Nintendo Switch 2 needs an internet connection with a synced clock, and you need at least one rebuilt Pokémon Center. Unlike earlier Pokopia events, you cannot change your system clock to force this one, because the connection check runs online.
The event only happens in town. It does not take place in Bubbly Basin or on Cloud Islands. If you own the DLC, the Pokémon Center inside Bubbly Basin will not work for the event either, though any other Center will.

Prism Scales do not spawn in any of your regular regions. They are found exclusively on Dream Islands, both out in the open and inside caves. Any Dream Island will drop them, but the beach-themed islands hold far more at once.
The Pikachu Doll island and, if you have the DLC, the Starmie Doll island are the strongest picks. A single trip to the Starmie island can yield well over 100 Prism Scales in one day, which is more than enough for the essential furniture. Because you can only reach one Dream Island per day, comb the whole map before heading home.
Tip: choose a Pokémon Center in the same region as your Drifloon so you have quick access to a Dream Island trip.
Start the event and collect scales

What Feebas sells for Prism Scales
The event shop sits at the counter inside any Pokémon Center. You need one of every item to build both habitats, which comes to 60 Prism Scales in total for a single set.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Swim Ring | 5 Prism Scales |
| Cooler | 10 Prism Scales |
| Floating Lantern | 10 Prism Scales |
| Big Swim Ring | 10 Prism Scales |
| Sand Bed | 10 Prism Scales |
| Beach Volleyball Set | 15 Prism Scales |
Nothing is stopping you from buying multiples. If you want spare copies of any furniture, keep collecting scales across the rest of the event and stock up. You can also reproduce these items later with the 3D Printer at the Pokémon Center.
Build the habitats to bring in Milotic
The furniture feeds two beach habitats. The Exciting Beach draws Feebas, while the Marine Leisure Activities habitat attracts Milotic. Once the Marine Leisure Activities space is placed, Milotic tends to show up fairly quickly.

| Habitat | Requirements | Image |
|---|---|---|
| Exciting Beach | 1x Sand Bed, 1x Big Swim Ring | ![]() |
| Marine Leisure Activities | 1x Swim Ring, 1x Cooler, 1x Beach Volleyball Set | ![]() |
Feebas has Water and Hype specialties, while Milotic specializes in Water. The Exciting Beach is meant for Feebas, but it stays at the Pokémon Center counter and cannot be moved into its habitat until the event has ended.
How to know it worked and why it might not trigger
You have completed the event once both habitats exist and Milotic has moved in. Feebas relocates to the Exciting Beach after the event window closes, which is the final confirmation that everything is done.
If Feebas never appears, the cause is almost always one of two things. Your console is not connected to Wi-Fi with a synced clock, or you have not rebuilt a Pokémon Center yet. Fix those and Feebas will spawn outside the Center as expected.
The whole run usually takes one to two days, so there is no need to rush. Just make each Dream Island trip count, since a full set of furniture only costs 60 Prism Scales and a single good island can hand you far more than that in one visit.
