Lineage Piece: How to Get Observation and Armament (Bosu) Haki

Exact level, currency, and quest requirements to unlock both Haki types, plus all five torch locations.

Exact level, currency, and quest requirements to unlock both Haki types, plus all five torch locations.

Haki is the core power system in Lineage Piece, and right now there are two versions you can unlock: Observation Haki and Armament Haki, which the game labels Bosu Haki. Observation Haki hands you 10 dodges to fully negate incoming hits, while Armament Haki adds a flat +25% damage boost. Both matter most once you hit mid to late-game content, and each is unlocked through a very different process.

Quick answer: Reach Level 1,500, beat 40 World Bosses, light all 5 torches to earn the Observation Haki Book, then pay 2.5M Yen at the Observation Haki NPC on Deeproot Jungle Island. For Armament Haki, hand a Haki Book (0.1% drop) plus 1,250 Gems to the Bosu Haki NPC on Frostborn Island.

Requirements for both Haki types

Before you start grinding, here is exactly what each ability costs and what it does. Observation Haki is gated behind a level requirement and a full questline. Armament Haki has no level gate, but the rare Haki Book it needs can take a long time to farm.

HakiEffectRequirements
Observation Haki10 dodges (negates hits)Level 1,500+, Observation Haki Book, 2.5M Yen
Armament Haki (Bosu)+25% damageHaki Book (0.1% drop), 1,250 Gems

How to unlock Observation Haki

Observation Haki is the tougher of the two. You need to be Level 1,500 or higher to even accept the quest, then clear a boss grind and a torch puzzle before the NPC will teach it.

Travel to Deeproot Jungle Island and head to the wooden bridge in the center. The Observation Haki NPC stands at one end of that bridge. Talk to him to start the questline.

Defeat 40 World Bosses anywhere on the map. Any boss counts, and you can repeat the same one, so target the weakest available World Boss to clear the count quickly.
Return to the NPC to pick up the torch puzzle, then find and light all five hidden torches. Lighting the fifth torch automatically gives you the Observation Haki Book, an untradeable quest item.

Go back to the Observation Haki NPC on Deeproot Jungle Island one last time. Hand over the book and 2.5M Yen, and he teaches you the ability.

All 5 torch locations

IslandTorch location
Deeproot Jungle IslandOn a tree trunk to the left of the wooden bridge from spawn
Frostborn IslandOn a single tree behind a street lamp near the Level 601–800 Quest NPC
Legend’s Arena IslandOn the outside of the rightmost pillar, behind a tree near the Saber NPC
Fossil IslandOn the tree right beside the Muzan NPC, near the Sung Jinwoo boss area
Scorched Ruins IslandOn the leftmost tree from the spawn point, heading left

You will know it worked when the Observation Haki Book drops into your inventory after the fifth torch, and again when the NPC confirms the unlock after you pay the 2.5M Yen.

How to unlock Armament (Bosu) Haki

Armament Haki skips the questline entirely. There is no level requirement, so the only real obstacle is the rare Haki Book you have to farm from combat.

Farm any mob or boss for the Haki Book. Every enemy in the game has the same 0.1% chance to drop it, so this comes down to a long grind until it appears. If your luck stalls, you can also trade for one using the in-game trade feature.

Collect 1,250 Gems. Gems come from completing quests, defeating World Bosses, and redeeming active Lineage Piece codes, so keep claiming codes to top up your total while you grind.
Go to Frostborn Island and find the Bosu Haki NPC on the wooden platform past the main buildings. Hand over the Haki Book and 1,250 Gems, and Armament Haki is yours.

Rerolling your Armament Haki color

When Armament Haki unlocks, it comes with a random aura color. The color is purely cosmetic and gives no stat benefit, but you can change it with Haki Color Rerolls used straight from your inventory.

  • All mob NPCs and bosses have a 4% chance to drop a Haki Color Reroll.
  • Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical Chests can also drop them.

Conqueror’s Haki is not in Lineage Piece yet, so Observation and Armament are the only two abilities you can chase for now. If you are still building toward the Level 1,500 requirement, prioritize Armament first since it has the lower barrier and directly raises your damage, then grind out the Observation questline once your level is high enough. You can jump straight into the grind through the Lineage Piece game page on Roblox.
