The Ice Cream Sword skin turns any sword-wielding character’s weapon into a giant frozen popsicle, and it costs nothing but time in the Snezhnaya open world added in Genshin Impact 7.0. It lives inside the Jack Frost village on the right side of the Snezhnaya map, and you claim it by helping the little snow spirits and trading a currency you earn along the way.
Quick answer: Complete the “Small Jack Frost, Big Problems” World Quest in Jack Frost village, collect 30 Intricately Patterned Buttons by helping Jack Frosts across the 7.0 map, then buy the Ice Cream Sword skin from the village chief’s shop.
What you need before starting
The skin is free and works for any character who uses a Sword as their weapon. It only changes how the weapon looks, so it has no effect on stats.
Before you head out, unlock as many Teleport Waypoints and Statues of the Seven across Snezhnaya as you can. This makes moving around the region far quicker, since the buttons you need come from Jack Frosts scattered throughout the 7.0 map.

Collect 30 buttons and buy the skin
Intricately Patterned Buttons are the currency you trade for the cosmetic. Finishing the World Quest alone will not give you enough, so you need to keep helping Jack Frosts wherever you find them across the 7.0 map.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Currency | Intricately Patterned Buttons |
| Amount needed | 30 |
| Where to earn | The “Small Jack Frost, Big Problems” quest, plus helping Jack Frosts throughout the 7.0 map |
| Where to spend | The village chief’s shop in Jack Frost village |
Once you have 30 buttons, return to Jack Frost village and talk to the village chief again. This time his shop is open. Exchange the 30 Intricately Patterned Buttons for the Ice Cream Sword skin.
Equip the skin and confirm it worked
After the trade, the skin is yours to keep. To put it on, open the character menu and go to the Dressing Room, then select the weapon slot for any Sword user. Choosing the Ice Cream Sword swaps the in-hand model for the popsicle without touching your weapon’s stats.
You know it worked when the character’s Sword appears as the ice cream in the preview and in the field. If it is missing from the Dressing Room, make sure you completed the exchange with the chief rather than only finishing the quest, since the skin unlocks at the point of purchase.
