Rerolling in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit means restarting on a fresh guest account until your opening summons hand you a strong SSR. The game moves fast in the early hours, so a single loop only takes a few minutes, and the whole point is to lock in a marquee unit like Caesar before you commit to a save.
Quick answer: Reroll only if you want a specific SSR in your pocket. Clear the tutorial to Quest Level 2, claim your mail, redeem the exchange codes, pull the Regular banner first and then the Novice banner, and delete the account through the User Center if you are unhappy. Aim for Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli, Koichi Hirose, or Ermes Costello.
Should you reroll in Golden Spirit?
For most players, no. Golden Spirit does not punish you for skipping the reroll grind. Plenty of R and SR units stay relevant at the top levels of play, so a fresh account is rarely defined by the one SSR it opens with. The game also hands out summons quickly through story clears, events, and daily content, so your box fills out fast without spending.
There is another reason to relax. A single SSR does not make an account. Units get much stronger through duplicates and their ability tree, and those upgrades come from long-term progression rather than your first pull. If you enjoy optimizing a starting roster or your first summons are poor, a quick reroll is fine. Just treat it as a convenience, not a requirement.

How the two starter banners work
The reroll revolves around two permanent banners. Novice Recruitment is the one that guarantees a specific unit, while Regular Recruitment is a wider pool with no wishlist. The efficient play is to secure one SSR from Regular, then use Novice to guarantee a second, targeted SSR for a double-SSR start.

Pity and the SSR selector
Beyond the Novice guarantee, the standard recruitment pool has its own safety nets. These milestones matter more for long-term account building than for a fast reroll, but they explain why chasing one exact opener is often unnecessary.

Resetting your account to try again
To reroll, you delete the guest account rather than reinstall. Go to Profile, then Settings, then User Center, and choose Delete Account. Once the account is removed, the game drops you back at a clean start, so you can run the tutorial again and repeat the loop from Chapter 2.
When you finally land a start you are happy with, do the opposite of resetting. Use Account Binding in the User Center to link your progress to an account service so the roster is saved. That binding step is how you confirm the account is kept rather than wiped on your next reroll attempt.
