Item copying in PEAK runs on a single Amulet called Scout’s Generosity. Point it at an item you have dropped and hold Left-Click, and the game produces a second copy. The trick becomes far more powerful when the item you copy is a Scout Effigy, because stacking Effigies turns into a supply of revives that lets a co-op group keep duplicating without ever running out of chances.
Quick answer: Equip Scout’s Generosity, drop the item with Q, look at it, and hold Left-Click until a second copy appears. Copy a Scout Effigy this way to build infinite revives in co-op, then use the spare Effigies to copy any other item safely.
What you need before you start
Two things make copying possible. The first is the Scout’s Generosity Amulet, which does the actual duplicating. The second, for unlimited runs, is a Scout Effigy, which is what you copy to keep reviving yourself.

The Amulet found at each blue light changes with the daily map rotation. Scout’s Generosity might sit in SHORE one day and MESA the next, so check the biome markers on the run you are playing rather than assuming a fixed spot.
Note: A solo player can copy a small number of items, roughly 2 to 4, but the infinite loop needs co-op because you cannot revive yourself alone.

Copying a Scout Effigy is what makes the whole loop endless. Each copy adds a revive you can spend, so once you have a stack, dying no longer stops your run. The catch is Petrify, which builds on your bonus stamina each time you duplicate and eventually turns you to stone.
With a healthy pile of Effigies banked, you can turn to any other item and copy it as much as you like. If the Petrify kills you again, your friend simply pops another Effigy and you carry on.
How to confirm it worked
You know the duplication succeeded when two of the same item exist at once, one still on the ground or with your friend and a matching one in your inventory. For the Effigy loop, success shows up as a growing count of Scout Effigies and a Petrify meter that climbs on your bonus stamina bar with every copy.
If nothing copies, the usual reasons are that Scout’s Generosity is not equipped, the item is still in your inventory instead of on the ground, or you are not looking straight at it while holding Left-Click. Solo players will also hit a hard ceiling, since the endless version depends on a co-op partner to revive you between copies.
