Eterspire Of Rabbits and Wolves (v80): New Quests and Manu Coins

Everything the v80 patch adds, from two level-gated questlines to Manenu’s event shop, plus the September 1 woodcutting date.

Stonehollow Workshop shipped Eterspire’s v80 patch, Of Rabbits and Wolves, on August 18th, 2026. It’s a two-quest update at its core, but the more lasting additions are a permanent community shop with its own currency, a batch of controller fixes, and near-complete Apple TV interface support.

Quick answer: Start Catch Me If You Can by speaking to Vex the Magnificent at Ashford Port at level 145, and The Wolf Hunt by speaking to the Bounty Hunter at Dorthian’s Drinkery at level 48. Manenu, the new community goblin, stands in Whitespeckle Plains and trades past event cosmetics for Manu Coins.

Catch Me If You Can and The Wolf Hunt: Level requirements and start locations

Both quests are gated by level, and they sit at opposite ends of the curve. There’s no shared prerequisite chain and no unlock event to wait for. If you meet the level, the starting NPC will hand you the quest.

QuestLevelWhere to start
Catch Me If You Can145Vex the Magnificent, Ashford Port
The Wolf Hunt48Bounty Hunter, Dorthian’s Drinkery

Catch Me If You Can is the higher-level of the two. Vex the Magnificent has lost control of his rabbit assistants, and the job is tracking them down. The Wolf Hunt is the midbie option, built around a bounty on two legendary beasts.

You’ll know it worked when the quest appears in your log after the opening dialogue. If the NPC has nothing new to say, you’re under the level requirement — that’s the only condition blocking either quest.

Manenu’s Community Shop and how Manu Coins work

Manenu is a new goblin NPC in Whitespeckle Plains, and he runs the Community Event Trinket Shop. This is the fix for a long-standing problem in Eterspire: cosmetics tied to limited-time events used to be gone for good once the event closed. Now they rotate back into a permanent storefront.

There is no way to buy, grind, or convert Manu Coins in-game. They’re handed out as rewards, which means the only reliable path to Manenu’s stock is showing up for community events on the Eterspire Discord server. Flash events are set to resume with Manu Coins as payouts.

Note: The most recent community event, Rakanushka’s Rampage, has already wrapped and distributed its rewards, including the first batch of Manu Coins from added stretch goals.

Controller support changes in v80

Controller handling got the largest share of the quality-of-life work. World map navigation is smoother, dialogue options are easier to pick, and exiting conversations no longer fights you. You can also move the pointer freely with the analog stick rather than stepping through elements one at a time.

Two changes matter most in daily play. When navigating with the D-pad, the pointer now remembers where it was after you close and reopen a menu, which cuts down on re-scrolling through item and cosmetic lists. And with a gamepad connected, the icons for skills 3 and 4 swap places — skill 4 sits on the left to match the left bumper, skill 3 on the right to match the right bumper.

On Apple TV, where Eterspire launched earlier this month as the first MMORPG on the platform, roughly 99 percent of the interface is now navigable with the Apple TV controller. A few elements are still unreachable.

Chat commands: Feedback and the friend request workaround

There’s a known bug where pending friend requests that were never accepted still take up a slot on your friends list. That can block you from sending new requests even though you’re below the actual cap. Clearing them is a one-line fix.

/clearsentfriendrequests

Type it in chat and every unaccepted request you’ve sent is wiped, freeing the slots. If you still can’t send a request afterward, you’ve genuinely hit the friends list limit.

A second command, /f, sends feedback and suggestions straight to the developers. The format is /f followed by your message. It is not a bug reporting channel — bugs still go through the official Bug Report Form.

Alongside those, general gameplay performance received substantial improvements, and new characters now default to the Server chat channel instead of the Map channel so newcomers land somewhere populated.

Bugfixes in Of Rabbits and Wolves

  • Eldia in Stonehollow is no longer on fire.
  • Scrollable windows that couldn’t be scrolled with a controller now work.
  • The Wayfarer’s Backpack in the Eterspire Store listed its equipment slot as Wings; it now correctly shows Back.

Woodcutting arrives September 1st with a new update schedule

Woodcutting, Eterspire’s newest lifeskill, lands in the next update on September 1st. That patch also marks the switch to a standardized release cadence.

From that point, updates ship on the first and third Tuesday of every month. If a scheduled Tuesday falls on a national holiday, the update moves to the following day. The pace stays the same as before — only the day of the week is being locked down. Further features and content are mapped out across the studio’s Q3 and Q4 roadmap.

One more housekeeping note from the patch: 74 accounts were banned for using modded or unofficial clients, which breaks the Eterspire rules. Separately, 11 more tracks went up on YouTube, completing the game’s original soundtrack playlist.
