Proxima Speed Lightning Best Build in Mortal Shell 2

Proxima, the Broodseeker turns packed rooms in Mortal Shell 2 into a hook, close, and detonate routine. Biosampler shoots a hook from her left arm, drags a target in or yanks her toward them, and the follow-up strike applies Lightning. Keep a fast light weapon in hand and the Duality Stone on the loadout, and those light hits start hitting twice as hard while the lightning storm handles anything still standing.

Quick answer: Unlock Proxima at the Shattered Beacon dungeon in Blackridge Pass, north of Widow’s Overlook. Then take the Biosampler skill line, socket Duality Stone, finish Voltaic Crown, and equip Axatana or Axe & Dagger.

Proxima lightning combat loop

The build lives on speed, area damage, and stagger, with coins trickling in while you fight. Biosampler is the opener. Seizure then locks enemies in place with stasis and stagger so the pack cannot scatter. Discharge follows with an AoE lightning storm once bodies are clumped. Collector runs in the background and harvests Specimens from slain foes, which is what feeds the passive coin stream.

That loop only stays efficient if your weapon is light and quick. Duality Stone doubles light attack damage, so slow heavies waste the multiplier. Hook a target, land the Lightning follow-up, keep tapping light attacks, and let Discharge finish the cluster. Defense stays workable because staggered enemies spend less time swinging back.

Biosampler Shell Point path

Grafted Armor sits next to Biosampler as a core Proxima ability, but the Shell Points that make this loadout work all sit on the Biosampler line. Spend toward damage, stagger, the storm, and Specimen harvest before you tinker with anything else.

You can fully upgrade only three Shells in one playthrough. Treat Proxima as one of those three if you want the full Biosampler line online.

Duality Stone weapons and Tarstones

Socket Duality Stone first. It is the Tarstone the loop is built around because it doubles light attack damage. Find it in the Ravaged Tomb dungeon near Nochtean Gate. Finish Voltaic Crown next. A fully upgraded Voltaic Crown applies a permanent lightning infusion to your weapon, so every swing already matches what Biosampler is doing.

Use a fast light weapon so Duality Stone can fire as often as possible. Axatana is in the south tower. Axe & Dagger is in the Shrine of Trials. Either one keeps the hook-and-swing cadence intact.

Open the Tarstones menu after those two are in. The details panel lists each stone’s upgrade effects and Resolve cost, which is how you confirm Duality Stone and Voltaic Crown are actually active before you push deeper.

Shattered Beacon Proxima unlock

You can claim Proxima without walking into a major boss. The shell is inside the Shattered Beacon dungeon in Blackridge Pass, north of Widow’s Overlook.

Leave the starting area and travel north until you reach Widow’s Overlook. Stop there only long enough to confirm you are on the Blackridge Pass approach.

Continue straight up from Widow’s Overlook into Blackridge Pass. Stay on that climb rather than branching into side camps.

Follow the path left into the pit. The Shattered Beacon dungeon entrance sits in that depression.

Enter the dungeon and claim the Proxima shell. You are done when Proxima, the Broodseeker appears in your Shell roster and Biosampler is available.

Once Duality Stone is socketed and Discharge is purchased, the loadout is online. Hook, stagger, storm, and let Collector pay you while the room empties.
