A steady run of unauthorized Grand Theft Auto 6 footage has appeared online since mid-August 2026, all posted by a leaker using the handle CyberLeek. The clips show early build gameplay pulled from a playable version of the game, covering combat, driving, flying, the wanted system, and several story cutscenes featuring Jason. Rockstar has stayed quiet while its parent company, Take-Two, works to identify the source.
Quick answer: CyberLeek has released 11 major GTA 6 gameplay clips between August 18 and August 24, 2026, each exposing new mechanics ranging from the returning 6-star wanted system and taser combat to fishing, hypercar theft, and a NSFW “Nudist Town” location.

August 18: The first Basketball and Random Video clips
The wave started with a short clip titled “Basketball,” which put Jason at his beach house shooting hoops. It offered the first clear look at the pared-back HUD and a two-part currency setup, with a wallet balance and a separate home fund.
A second clip that same day, “Random Video 1,” showed Jason driving around Leonida and beating a delivery driver with a red wrench. More importantly, it revealed the 6-star wanted system returning for the first time since Grand Theft Auto 4, plus an honor or mood mechanic that echoes the honor system in Red Dead Redemption 2.

August 19: Combat, tasers, and RDR2-style systems
The “Taser” clip moved to nighttime, with Jason raiding an Allied Crystal sugar refinery in Ambrosia. It showed hand-to-hand combat, a disarm mechanic, and taser use as Jason fought past security guards and stole a truck to escape. The footage was confirmed to come from a recent build because the radio played “Sports Car” by Tate McRae, a track released in January 2025. It closed on a cutscene between Jason and his friend Cal Hampton on a fishing boat.
Later the same day, “Junkies” focused on melee with a hunting knife, including the backhand slap seen in the second trailer, along with bike gameplay and the return of fast-food joints. It also exposed the weapon wheel, healing items such as the Zombix Pill and the EpiPen, a “Taunt” option similar to RDR2’s greet and antagonize system, and a “Loot” prompt for taking cash from bodies.
August 20–21: Planes, the map, and hypercars
“Plane (Day)” was one of the more revealing clips. Jason flew a Crop Duster from the Leonida Keys to Vice City, giving the first sense of the map’s full scale. The two-and-a-half-minute video showed volumetric clouds, the Stockyard FM radio station playing “Overpowered” by Roisin Murphy, and an “On Demand” option beneath the standard radio menu. It ended with Jason shooting “LEEK” into a wall with a scoped rifle, a strong hint that the leaker holds a playable build.
The next day brought “Hypercar Part 1” and “Part 2.” The first introduced a Quick Time Event system for fending off NPCs who fight back during a car theft, then sent Jason speeding through the city with French Montana and Swae Lee’s “Unforgettable” on the radio. The second added fuel and repair mechanics, convenience store robberies, register theft, and one-handed pistol shooting with the Girardi ES9. It ended with a crash on a bridge shown through the cinematic camera, then Jason walking into a strip club at night.

August 22–23: Strip club, gas station, and the Wasted screen
“Strip Club” continued from the previous clip and revealed the Delights Strip Club in Port Gellhorn. Jason walked through a crowded venue with pole dancers and a wide variety of NPCs, each showing distinct features and behavior. It closed on another restroom cutscene, this time with Jason encountering a hobo.
The first August 23 clip, “Gas,” showed Jason driving a truck to a gas station and stealing a vehicle, triggering a failed owner QTE before running the owner over. Moments later he collided with an oncoming car and died, producing the first look at the GTA 6 Wasted screen. The clip ended with an objective reading “Return to Lucia,” implying Lucia is already unlocked as a playable character by that point in the story.
The second August 23 clip, “Plane (Night),” sent Jason flying a Crop Duster over Vice City and Leonida after dark. It confirmed a fishing mechanic at set spots, similar to RDR2, and showcased the radio stations again, with the cinematic camera making the nighttime skyline stand out.
August 24: The Nudist Town clip
The most recent leak, “Nudist Town,” is heavily NSFW. It shows Jason at a nudist hub in Port Gellhorn where the NPCs are fully naked, dancing and drinking, while Jason surveys the area with binoculars. The clip ends in a shootout after a woman charges at him, with Jason tackling her into a pool and opening fire as bystanders flee or surrender.
After posting it, CyberLeek asked the community whether the next clip should feature Lucia in the prologue, suggesting the first Lucia-focused footage could follow.

Why the leaks are happening
The stated motive behind the drops is pressure on Rockstar and Take-Two to reverse the digital-only approach planned for GTA 6. Rockstar has not commented on the footage. Take-Two, meanwhile, is pursuing the leaker through subpoenas issued to Microsoft and Discord.
GTA 6: An Extended Look on Netflix
Rockstar’s own gameplay showcase, GTA 6: An Extended Look, is set to premiere on Netflix on August 27, 2026. It will also become available on YouTube and Rockstar’s website roughly six hours after the Netflix debut, giving fans an official counterpart to the leaked clips.
CyberLeek has shown no sign of stopping ahead of that reveal, so more clips, potentially including the first Lucia footage, may surface before the official showcase airs.
