New Game+ arrived in Crimson Desert with the 2.0 update, giving you a way to restart the campaign without losing the abilities and money you spent hours earning. The mode only opens once you have cleared the full story, and starting it involves a specific menu prompt that decides what you keep.
Quick answer: Complete every main story quest, return to the main menu, select “New Game” in the bottom-right corner, choose a difficulty, then answer “yes” when asked to carry over your currency and Abyss Links.

Unlock requirement: finish all 12 chapters
New Game+ stays locked until you reach the end of the main campaign. That means clearing the Prologue and all 12 chapters, right through The Abyss and the final battle. The story wraps up with the Greymanes reclaiming Pailune and Kliff settling back into a quieter life.
Side content, faction quests, and minigames do not count toward the requirement. Only the main story quests gate the mode, so you can trigger New Game+ as soon as the credits roll on the campaign.

If you pick “no,” the game starts a completely fresh save with nothing carried forward. The “yes” choice is the one that puts you into true New Game+.
What carries over into New Game+
Only two things follow you into the new run: your Abyss Links and the in-game currencies you had banked. Everything you wore or wielded stays behind, so you rebuild your gear from scratch.
| Item | Carries over? |
|---|---|
| Abyss Links | Yes |
| In-game currency | Yes |
| Weapons | No |
| Armor | No |
Keeping your Abyss Links is the important part. They preserve the powerful abilities you unlocked, so you can clear early enemies quickly instead of grinding your build back up. Losing weapons and armor means you still hunt for equipment again, which keeps a sense of progression as you replay the world.
How to confirm New Game+ started correctly
You know the carry-over worked when your currency total and Abyss Links appear intact at the start of the new campaign, while your inventory of weapons and armor is empty. If your abilities are gone and your money reads zero, you likely selected “no” on the final prompt and started a blank save instead.
With those carried perks in hand, the early hours of the second run play out far faster than the first, letting you approach combat and settlements differently while you rebuild your loadout across Pywel.
