Every Gear in Sell Ores: Cost and Effect

A full breakdown of every purchasable Gear, its price, and the exact boost or mutation it applies.

A full breakdown of every purchasable Gear, its price, and the exact boost or mutation it applies.

Gears are single-use equipment in Sell Ores, the Roblox incremental simulator where you roll for rarer ores, place them around your base, and let drones break and sell them. Each Gear either speeds up ore regeneration for a set time or stamps a mutation onto an ore to raise its value. You buy them from the Gear Shop and spend them one at a time.

Quick answer: Head to the market at the center of the map, open the Gear Shop, and buy the Gear you want. Prices run from $500,000 for the Small Growth Gem up to $25T for the Devil’s Growth Gem, and every Gear is consumed after a single use.

Every Gear in Sell Ores, cost and effect

Gears fall into two groups. Growth Gems temporarily multiply how fast your ores regenerate, while Coatings apply a permanent value mutation to a single ore. The table lists all of them with their price and exact effect.

GearCostEffect
Small Growth Gem$500,0002x faster ore regeneration for 5 minutes
Ore Cleanser$1,000,000Removes a mutation from an ore
Rust Coating$10,000,000Applies the Rusty mutation (x1.5)
Large Growth Gem$50,000,0004x faster ore regeneration for 10 minutes
Frost Coating$750MApplies the Frozen mutation (x1.75)
Crystal Coating$1BApplies the Crystal mutation (x2)
Void Coating$10BApplies the Void mutation (x2.25)
Super Growth Gem$15B6x faster ore regeneration for 15 minutes
Alien Coating$100BApplies the Alien mutation (x3.25)
Galaxy Coating$1TApplies the Galaxy mutation (x5)
Devil’s Growth Gem$25T12x faster ore regeneration for 15 minutes

Growth Gems vs Coatings

Growth Gems are timed boosts. They multiply regeneration speed across your base for the listed duration, so they work best when your ores and drones are already running at full capacity and you want a burst of extra output. The Devil’s Growth Gem gives the strongest boost at 12x for 15 minutes.

Coatings are the opposite. Each one locks a specific mutation onto one ore, and that mutation multiplies the ore’s value permanently until you change it. The Galaxy Coating applies the strongest mutation with a x5 multiplier. If you want to strip a mutation off an ore, the Ore Cleanser removes it so you can re-coat with something better.

How to buy Gears

Travel to the market in the center of the map. The Gear Shop is located there alongside the other purchase stations.
Open the Gear Shop and pick the Gear you can afford. There is no purchase limit, so you can stock up on as many as your balance allows.
Confirm the purchase and apply the Gear. A Growth Gem starts its timer immediately, while a Coating asks you to target one ore. Once used, the Gear is consumed and you need to buy another to repeat the effect.

Note: Every Gear is one-time use. Buying one does not give you a permanent tool, so factor the cost in each time you want the effect again.

Earning enough money for higher-tier Gears

The prices climb fast, from six figures at the low end all the way to $25T for the Devil’s Growth Gem. To fund the pricier Gears you need to keep rolling for rarer ores, buy and place them on your base, and pour money into the stat upgrades that raise your income. Coatings help here too, since a stronger mutation on a valuable ore feeds more currency back into your economy for the next purchase.
