Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy — How to Unlock the Skilled Maneuverer Trophy

Buy the Echo's Return mastery skill, then counter a bridge attacker in Chapter 10 to stun three enemies at once.

Buy the Echo’s Return mastery skill, then counter a bridge attacker in Chapter 10 to stun three enemies at once.

The Skilled maneuverer trophy in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy asks you to stun three enemies at the same time using the mastery skill Echo’s Return. It sits among the combat trophies rather than the story chapters, so it will not unlock on its own. You need the right skill purchased and a fight crowded enough to hit three soldiers with a single throw.

Quick answer: Buy the Echo’s Return mastery skill, load Chapter 10 (Parallel paths), Sub-chapter 1 (The bridge), reach the bridge fight, then press Circle just before an enemy’s attack lands to throw that enemy into three others.

What you need before Skilled maneuverer can trigger

The trophy depends entirely on one ability. Echo’s Return is a mastery skill that lets Amicia snatch an attacking enemy and throw them into their allies, applying stun damage to everyone caught in the throw. Without it, no amount of fighting will register the trophy.

To buy the skill, open the skill menu and select Echo’s Return under the mastery branch, then choose Unlock Skill. Resonance Points are the game’s skill points, gathered as collectibles across each chapter, so make sure you have enough saved before you commit to other upgrades.

Note: The skill counters an enemy strike, not an unblockable one. Time it against a standard incoming attack and avoid trying it on a red attack.

Where to unlock Skilled maneuverer: the Chapter 10 bridge fight

The cleanest place to earn this is the bridge battle early in Chapter 10, Parallel paths. That encounter throws a large crowd of enemies at you on a stone platform, which is exactly the density you want for a single throw to catch three soldiers. If you have already finished the story, you can jump straight back in through Chapter Select and farm the attempt with checkpoint restarts.

Steps to trigger the throw

Open the skill tree and purchase Echo’s Return. The skill you own turns highlighted, while unpurchased skills stay grayed out, so confirm it is active before you continue.
From the main menu, go to Chapter Select and start Chapter X (Parallel paths), Sub-chapter 1 (The bridge). This drops you just ahead of the fight you need.

Move Amicia, Faro, and Sophia through the rocky canyon and climb the wooden scaffolding to reach the bridge. Keep going until the group runs into the crowd of enemies on the stone platform.
During the fight, position yourself near a tight group of soldiers and wait for one of them to swing at you. You want at least three other enemies clustered close to your attacker so the throw connects with all of them.

Press Circle just before the enemy’s attack lands. Amicia snatches the attacker and throws them into the surrounding soldiers, stunning everyone the throw hits.

How to confirm the trophy unlocked

When the throw stuns three enemies at once, the Skilled maneuverer trophy pops with the on-screen “Trophy earned!” notification. If you see the throw connect but no notification appears, the counter likely caught fewer than three enemies, so the stun count fell short.

Why the trophy doesn’t pop

  • Echo’s Return is not purchased. The counter only works after you unlock the mastery skill.
  • Fewer than three enemies were near the attacker, so the throw stunned only one or two.
  • The Circle press missed the timing window. It has to land just before the enemy’s attack connects.
  • You attempted it against a red attack instead of a standard strike.

If an attempt fails, restart from the last checkpoint and try again with the enemies bunched tighter. Because this is a combat trophy, it can be farmed freely through Chapter Select after the story, so there is no risk of permanently missing it once Echo’s Return is in your skill tree.
