Steal An Egg Boss Glitches: How to Make a Boss Disappear (Roblox)

Every biome in Steal An Egg is guarded by a boss that chases you the moment you lift an egg from its nest. Get caught and you get launched back to the start. But the bosses in this Roblox game run on pathfinding that can be tripped up, and a handful of tricks will strand one, freeze it in place, or remove it from its zone until the server resets. The chicken, duck, tiger, whale, dinosaur and Kitsune bosses all respond to the same three exploits.

Quick answer: Steal an egg, sprint to the giant pink tree next to the Sakura Incubator at the end of the map, and jump repeatedly into the trunk until your character clips upward and dies. When you respawn in the lobby, the boss you stole from will be missing from its zone.

The three working boss glitches, compared

All three tricks depend on you holding a stolen egg. The difference is what happens to the boss afterward, and how far you have to run to set it up.

The tree jump is the only one that fully deletes a boss. The other two are containment tricks: the boss stays alive but stops functioning as a threat, which is enough to walk an egg home unharmed.

Tree jump reset: Delete a boss from its zone

This is the strongest of the three because the boss does not come back on its own. The trick is that dying while still holding a stolen egg leaves the boss’s state broken, and the pink tree structure at the far end of the map has geometry you can clip into until the game kills you.

Steal an egg from the boss you want to remove. The moment you grab it, the RUN!! warning appears and that specific boss starts chasing you.

Head for the Cherry Blossom area at the end of the map and run to the large pink tree beside the Sakura Incubator. Keep hold of the egg the entire way. Dropping it cancels the effect.

Jump into the trunk and the crystal formations at its base, over and over. You are trying to wedge the character upward into the collision until the game registers a fall or a crush and resets you.

Wait for the respawn in the lobby, then walk back to the zone you stole from. The boss will be gone from its nest, and you can lift eggs there with nothing chasing you.

Note: the reset does not always land on the first attempt. The dinosaur boss in particular can survive several tries before the clip triggers, while a chicken egg run tends to work quickly.

Lobby corner drop: Break the boss’s pathfinding

The second method uses the walls of the spawn area. Bosses will follow you all the way back toward the lobby, and when the egg sits in a tight corner they cannot resolve a path to it. The corner by the Trails Shop is the reliable one, though the opposite side near the Fuse Machine behaves the same way.

Take an egg from a boss nest. Larger eggs such as the whale work fine here, as does a lava monster egg from the Volcano zone.

Run the egg back toward the lobby and spawn area without letting the boss touch you. If it catches you, you get thrown back and have to start the steal again.

Drop the egg tight against the corner wall next to the Trails Shop. Position matters more than speed here, and being a few studs off the corner is usually why nothing happens.

Stand on the edge and pick the egg back up at an angle as the boss closes in. Done correctly, the boss stalls out instead of grabbing the egg back.

Wall clip drop: Stop a boss reclaiming your egg

The simplest of the three, and the one to fall back on when you just want the egg home. Facing a wall and pressing drop pushes the egg partway into the geometry, and a boss cannot pull an egg out of a wall. It works on the border walls generally, with the seam behind the Sakura Incubator being the cleanest spot.

Steal your egg and run straight at the back wall of the map rather than toward your farm.

Face the wall directly and press drop so the egg lodges in the seam instead of landing on open ground.

Pick it up again, walk a short distance along the wall, and drop it in once more. Repeating this leapfrogs the egg toward spawn while the boss stands there unable to recover it.

Tip: because the boss never reclaims the egg, this is also how players move eggs into zones they do not have the speed for. It is slow, but it does not require the multi-billion speed threshold the later zones ask for.

How to confirm the glitch worked

For the tree jump, the confirmation is visual and unambiguous. Return to the boss’s zone after respawning and the nest area will be empty, with no chase warning when you take an egg. If the boss is still standing there, the reset did not register and you need to steal another egg and repeat it.

For the corner and wall drops, the tell is that the boss stops closing the distance. It will hover near the egg without picking it up, and you can walk the egg away without being launched back to the start.

Why the glitch fails, and what has already been patched

Most failed attempts come down to one of three things. Dropping the egg mid-route cancels the chase state the whole trick depends on. Standing slightly away from the corner or wall seam means the egg lands on normal ground, where the boss simply picks it up. And letting the boss catch you resets everything, since you get thrown back toward spawn without the egg.

Two older exploits no longer work. Hiding behind the Sakura Incubator to trap the Oni Tiger boss has been blocked with added obstacles, so the spot cannot be reached the way it once could. The Wi-Fi disconnect trick, which involved dropping your connection for a few seconds so the server never registered the nighttime teleport to the SAFE ZONE during the ALL EGG RESET, has also been closed.

That churn is the main thing to keep in mind. These are collision and pathfinding bugs, not features, and the pattern in Steal An Egg has been that popular ones get fixed in later updates. If a method suddenly stops responding, it has probably been patched rather than mistimed on your end.
